You all have probably already seen this but I just received this in the mail from VapinBill. Love it! Thanks Bill.

I apologize for asking, but Im curious...Ive never seen a brass ray with such a visible seam...Is it one of the first produced or something? The only rays Ive seen with seams that pronounced were clones (not saying this is a clone, I can tell its actually phantom brass unlike the replicas...Im just wondering)

Speaking of GP Heron's...I tried this setup last night, wanted to give the 22 gauge a shot (pun not intended) , 7/6 wrap around a 1/8 inch drill bit metering at almost .4 ohms...very good condensed, wet, vapor production and terrific flavor! The only caveat is that I drill the center hole on my Herons with a 1/16 (about 1.6mm) drill bit in a Heron V1.5 base wide open for the needed extra air flow. Overall, only a short pull is needed resulting in a slightly warm vape.

Thats the only con I read about. From my understanding you have to be very careful. the switch appreaers to be held by a clamp. An extra one is supplied. i have to do more research before I dive in. So far so good.

Held by a c-clip. There is a tool for removing these. I'm sure you read the paperwork where Sean says not to disassemble the switch; this is because the internals are completely plated with rhodium over silver and does not need regular maintenance.

Hey guys, I have my first copper mech on its way from a trade and it has some natural patina on it. I like the way it looks but I was wondering - if I polished it does the patina disappear? (not sure how it works)
What do I need to keep the contacts clean and what should I get for overall maintenance for it?

Looks tasty Idaholandho...great looking build :) I have not tried rayon yet...what's you opinion on rayon vs. cotton?
Thanks, very tasty.
I have compared the two mediums with exact builds head to head of my doubles and alternating on my singles(atomizers). I love rayon's wicking ability as it seems to "push" juice. I get no gym sock cotton taste either. The comparisons have been with KGD.
With that said, I find each to be atomizer specific. I prefer rayon in my dripper builds and medium chamber atomizers, cotton in my small chamber builds.
Loving the Heron already, rayon changed and renewed life substantially in them. I can't get over it now, lol. I can chain em!
Rayon does not swell in the coil, in fact the opposite. The coil must have a bit of resistance when inserting into micros, unlike cotton where less is more.
In fact, in your kick ayuss Heron build I hear it screaming for rayon.
But, certain small chambered atomizers seem to perform better with cotton. KF, Taifun, Rose, Chalice. I am truly trying to figure out why some small chamber attys have richer flavor with cotton.

PS Great photos, very nice! Love the build on the Heron.

Do you build your Heron flufless AND capless? How do you keep it from leaking? I can't get mine to wick right at lower ohms and I've read all the GP threads up and down. Good lookin build, bh the way!

Whats up, Ploomin.
Its JWrapped. Not the best job as you can see. If the clear wrap were taken off the seam would not be as obvious. Interesting voice you have inside you, BTW. Interesting.

Thanks for the reply bill! Ive been lurking for a loooong time and remember seeing you post it a while back...and because of the lighting I couldnt quite tell if it was actually made with the phantom brass or not. I honestly thought it was a clone haha but seeing your other mods/attys, I was straight confused!

Appreciate you clearing that up, definitely makes sense. That phantom brass is just gorgeous metal. I absolutely loved mine. Really regret selling it.

If I may, V uses fluff in his build. In the GP tips thread my last build may help you a bit. I think it's on te last page. If there is anything I can help with I'd be happy too. Many lowest build in one of them now is @ .58 and wicks nicely.

I did read that. Good to know. Thank you.
