I have had the rDNA and 2 of the rDNA40s

They were all three absolute junk. Chip problems not withstanding all three had issues with the mods themselves. I understand that other people have different experience with theirs. Mine was not good. They all came from Vaporshark.

Every DNA40 device I've bought has been returned at last twice for chip/board problems. This includes a Hana Modz V3 (the worst customer service of any company in the industry, by the way), a Vapor Shark rDNA40, and my Vapor Flask. The only one I kept was the flask because I like the form factor and finally got one that works. YMMV.

my experience precisely with the dna40. my experience with hana is much better probably because they already know I show up there.
the rdna40 does look real cheap. like I said it is the Samsung phone of vaporizers. not really for people on this board. I hope it stays together because at least I do like the quick change battery. to tell the truth the rubber looks cheap as doodoo.

my observation is that the shark actually appears better made then hana. at least tidier. no solder, wires or glue to be seen in the battery compartment. I like it or I wouldn't have got it but I am sure it won't last long. certainly the chip possibly the mod. I do wonder if the rubberized coating wears off. otherwise I think they have a good idea. get a good mod into the hands of folks that might not even consider quitting. by good I mean the specs over like istick. of course a lot of folks might balk at the price if they are in fact not considering quitting. I like it for now until it breaks. although the rubber looks cheap compared to hana b4s or flask etc.

another observation from reading hundreds of posts here. this is no prejudice just seems to be a fact for whatever reason. men tend to prefer metal drip tips and woman acrylic. I personally like the cool looking ones but they do tend to kill performance. the biggest bore is best regardless of fancy design. stainless steel should be neutral. why it is used for surgery. in another thread a woman said it bothers her. I guess possible. I personally hate brass without high copper content. I really don't know which I like better. yours here are macho. the woman's ones look like works of art. of course I do know there are other men that use fancy acrylic but not many. if it is important to you it can be paramount of performance. the chuff I put on the tobh blues insane clouds. 510 will always be less.

I was wondering do you guys get twice as much time out of the flask. I don't think I do but I use it constantly. maybe 40 minutes more.

ot. I have posted in the girls thread and they seem to be heavily influenced by looks. I was wondering which type od drip tips you guys prefer to complete your setup. metal, acrylic or glass? what gives the best performance besides looks. I was in the market for a custom acrylic again. although having small bore I am not sure they provide the performance. I am seeing you guys are mostly using metal. I should be content because I just got one heck of a metal tip but always looking for better. it is important because if it constricts it negates a cloud setup. I just got a huge cap for tobh and there is a noticeable difference. I hope you guys don't mind this but I feel it is important.

I prefer metal DTs, various styles but they have to be Old Sams.

OT, is the sx350 Temp control chip physically larger than the evolve dna 40? A VS sized box with the yihi would be sweet.

One, yes - the SX350J is larger than the DNA40.
Two, with the success of this 350J board I'm sanguine many nice devices will be underway before the half of 2015.

I don't dare post this in the istick thread. I love the shape and feel of the 50w. wish someone would make one of thicker billet aluminum and put dna or sx. the shark is actually a tiny bit smaller but I like the rounded corners. speaking of shark the rubber and lighted button grew on me. how long till you think it breaks haha.

the good performance metal imo is jmk and 2puffs. those acrylic ones are just so cool though. well I guess most guys don't think so but I like them. one company finally came out with serious performance ones and a huge chuff.

the sx is a lot bigger. has big choke and heat sink. maybe that is why it does not overheat! I probably spent more on postage sending back dna40's then the mods cost.
it is absurd the Chinese are beating the us here.

It is easy to sit there and giggle about Yihi making a better chip than Evolv. It is way easier to look at the mistakes of the trailblazer and do better than they did.

Just saying, yes evolv could have done better, they did blaze the trail here. The Chinese did not start anything, they got a patent for vaporizing nicotine. The ecig was patented here in the US in the 60s.

it's just that we have to admit general thinking of people in usa. china is perceived as the low cost junk and usa is the best superior product. that is why it is "funny" to me. it is like an oxymoron of sorts. it is unheard of the tables turned like this. I have no idea why evolv cannot get things right. then they would at least be on par in functionality which is reasonable. it just happens to be a odd reversal of rules due to a fluke. really I shouldn't laugh though it is not really a funny thing. just odd. that's regardless of what the real story is. at least I think it is funny I have thousands of dollars of boxes back 2 or 3 times for service and now they tell me they are updating it again. plus did you know more clones are sold than authentic? that is one thing and it stinks. they are garbage mostly. yihi not only built a serious contender, it works. the box is rough around the edges. literally. that is where usa excels. machining they cannot beat us. honestly I do have good reason for the usa to be on top. it is just a very strange scenario. if they built one again like the Darwin they would have smashed yihi. of course it would have been twice the price but worth every penny. I guess fate will just have it's hand sometimes. I suppose usa did have the first patent. I think patent is a word the Chinese do not know. if you know wehat I mean. I don't really insult either. I just would ike one that works please.

Of all my DNA40s, asides from the very first two chips I got. All have worked, and except for my newest. The one in the Galactika :( The chip "wattage up" function is stuck on.

Which sucks, it is from Italy. Going to see if Evolv will warranty the chip and swap it out my self.

holy smokes bill. that's a full house.

I guess I am just very unlucky. all my dna40 have scrambled screens even after repair and some continue to fire when not pressed. others just always show full battery regardless. I do know there were others that had no problems. why I think it is funny is because now I unpack one and just wonder if and when it will quit.
actually it is not funny that a company had issues with their product even if only some people got the brunt of it. better than crying I guess.

I have to say I am digging the vapor shark. the only fault I have with it is the buttons rattle all over. otherwise I am surprised at how this is built. they are like sleep number stores. not really for new quitters or veteran ecig puffers. plus it is on 24 hours now. that is a very good sign. they did modify the dna40. for one thing it has a different display set and it has reverse polarity protecton. which is welcome since the battery goes upside down. this I kind of hope does not break.
