Has anyone owned the JD Tech Eray? If so, thoughts?

So, without speaking to any mod posted in particular, does it seem like some of these mods focus on fancy wood work, but the metal working leaves something to be desired? Sometimes it's fit and finish issues. Other times I feel like I'm being reminded of how GM made high-end cars, i.e., fancy interiors ruined by using the same bucket of parts as a Chevy Malibu. Me dunno, maybe it's just me.
