So I recently got the eVic vt and have and the ego one mega tank to get started on temp control vaping. I thought i read that temp control helps slow down juice consumption some. But it seems like the 4 ml tank goes by super fast when using the .2 ohm nickel coil. Is this usual?
Have you used the tank with kanthal coils? If not, it might be just getting a juice hog of a tank.

Yeah it really does depend on the atty. I use an Achilles, very tight draw, and even on my Evic-VT, it's a real miser with juice, about like a cartotank or even better. If you've got wide open airflow and you take great whooshing hits and cloud up the room, well duh, it's going to require a lot of juice.

DIY, or learn to love tootle puffing. :D

At 0.02 ohm you are heating the coils faster than a 1.5 ohm from which you probably upgraded from ? TC is keeping the coil at a set temp to not burn the wick, at low sub ohm it's wicking like crazy

Even on my derringer, I can set it up to go through a ridiculously small amount of juice. Shut the airflow to just a bit, switch to a single coil and turn the power down. Makes for a nice little mtl hit. If I run dual coils at .4 ohms, I can burn through a 10ml bottle in an afternoon. That being said... I've cut my juice consumption down to about 3ml a day. Tootle puffing definitely has its place.

For my part I cannot conceive of why one would vape at .2 ohm. I'm sure there's a reason, but it's lost on me. Is it just about how much of a cloud you can blow? Isn't that a really hot vape? I build my Kraken and DID at .8 ohm and they deliver very good vapor and flavor.

Temp control requires the use of Ni wire. A 1 ohm coil using Ni wire would be about 125 wraps (doubt it would fit)

To make a 0.8 ohm coil with Ni200 would take ~ 80 wraps on a 2 mm bit.

From what I understand, Juice consumption is pretty much equal for TC vs regular vaping. Some use more some less. TC is advertized as improving battery life, though.

Joyetech advertise their eVic-t as decreasing juice consumption. They have a nice little graph showing their 4ml tank supposedly lasting 2-3.5 times as long, depending on wattage when in TC mode vs VW mode.
