High Power Mods @ Low Wattage?

Status
Not open for further replies.
My mods are:

(1) Reuleaux 200 (one so far, going to add a second)
(3) eleaf TC100w
(1) Kanger 75 watt

My tanks are Aspire Triton, Atlantis, a Vaproesso, and a Kanger top box mini. All run a 0.5Ω coil, at 27.5 watts.
Also have a 0.2Ω smok, with three burners, running at 55.5 watts.

Anyone else run 75 to 200 watt mods at low watts for increased battery life?

I love how fellow vapers will tell me that they get 2 1/2 days from a 3 battery mod, and look down their nose at my single 18650 battery mod.

I simply tell them that I get a full day of vaping from it, and am not carrying around the extra weight of 3 batteries either.

Lately i've been noticing a massive increase in the number of people using multiple battery devices in the wild, seems to have really taken off in the last month or so. My problem is that the vapers i've spotted seem to be not that clued up on the potential pifalls of charging them. I really am not comfortable using onboard charging of 2/3 batteries on a device that costs so little. Sorry OP, i digress.
Personally;
I get a full days vaping on a ProVari 3 using a TRUSTFIRE 18500 battery at a massive 14 watts. Means i can leave my batteries at home rather than carrying them in the device. I also know when the battery will need changing (last thing at night) instead of having to charge batteries on the go. I always use a charger rather than the onboard chip.
.... I'm rambling again, sorry.
I can see the appeal of using multiple battery devices at lower watts and have tried it. :)

yep, just 'cause ya got it, don't meant you have to use all of it. I have one 100watt and some up to 75watt devices and still just tootle puff along at less than 10watts :D Even my 30watt internal battery devices last me at least 2 days between charges.

Battery life it seems is also tied to juice consumption.

My recent experience with a Vmax V3 with an Aspire 1.8ohm K1 mounted equates 1 18350 per ~1ml of juice. I don't know about the rest of you but it does not take me long to vape a mere 1ml of juice.

A dual 18650 or single 26650 powered mod will last me all day and then some. I buy the mods with multiple or larger batteries for one reason - longer battery life.

I don't even use the watts setting on my VV/VW devices. All of them are set to mimic ego/Evod performance. Have won 4 higher power mods with TC (60 TO 200W) and sold or traded every one in order to get more VV/VW devices, ProTanks or DIY supplies. Never even cracked the cellophane wrapper on the 200 watt Koopor!

Ya, I had to swap out the 14500 battery in my Mako ........... yesterday.

All kidding aside, it seems like I average 1100mAh/day
(so a little less than 100mAh/hour of vape time at my vape pace)

Except for an original Evic VT 60, an Evic VTC Mini, and a Sigelei 75 TC, all my dozen+ mods are all dual 18650 and 100 watts or more, with the majority being 200 watts. Even though I rarely vape above 60 watts (I generally stick around the 25-50 watt range, depending on the atty), I like the headroom of not overstressing the battery and also the longer battery life. That said, a dual battery mod (if I was just using one all day long) would still go through 2 sets of batteries in one full day of vaping.

I drew a line in the sand. I'm not going past 400 degrees and 30 max watts with a 1.2-1.5 ohm stainless coil. At those settings an LG HG2 3000 mah battery will last through the day, barely, and vaporize 7 ml. I prefer smaller mods. Pico and vtc mini are my current favorits with pico getting the edge. May be I'll have a 2 cell mod sometime but so far they are big for my taste. For form factor my iStick 50 was brilliant but cells aren't replacable and it doesn't do TC.

I have two VW mods, an iStick 60W and a 134 mini. I also have two VV eGo style batteries. I have several different clearos with 1.5 to 2.1 ohm atties. I recently purchased a sub-ohm tank. I have to run that at better than 7 volts/at least 22 watts, opposed to 3.5/near 4 volts/7 - 9 range watts. That helped me make the final decision that I am not a sub-ohmer. Less than a .5 ohm atty (.3 or .4) gulps liquid faster than a wide open 4 barrel carb drinks fuel.. I also prefer my battery to charger visits to be measured in days instead of hours.

I really like my Pico 75W with a Kayfun Mini3 clone running at 1.7 Ohms at 10W. I rotate He4 and Hg2 batteries every other day. I can get about 10ml on one battery, so it's an all-day vape for me (6 - 8 ml per day).

My Movkin Disguiser (150W dual-batt) should give me much more life, but it's just too big and bulky for daily carry. At least I have the potential if I ever get into sub-Ohm, high-power stuff.
