High Power Mods

Hi All,

I am not all that new to vaping and have played with a few mods both mechanical and protected ones. I just saw an advert for a 260W mod, my eyes nearly poped out of my head. Using my favourite Kafun with a 0.8 ohm coil I have no physical or mental need to exceed 14 Watts. Could some one be so kind as to tell me why one would need a 260W mod. I have yet to see any tank or coil that could handle that sort of phenomenal power.

I would never do bungee jumping or sky diving but I have nothing with people that do it. I think is just a matter of choice and taste.
And what the heck I'll be curious to hit that thing once.

My car is capable of going 130mph....doesn't mean I need or want to drive it that fast.

Soon it's gonna get to the point people will just be hooking kanthal and a wick to a car battery.

It is just like a Corvette or a Ferrari. Speed limit here is 65 most places but you see them on the street.

I don't need 260 watts but those folks hitting a .08 or .09 ohm coil are pushing close to that wattage. I hardly ever get my Sigelei up past 60.

You can push +150w on a mechanical, I build my comp builds at 0.07ohm with a 26650 battery, it pushes out 242w on a fresh battery, so people _do_ use power which is over 150 watts, heck my ADV dripper is running at 0.15ohms, pushing 115W

Totally agree the weird thing is why do people need such power

I think most would be fine well below that number, but some will need or want more.

Indeed I enjoyed the comment on the wire and the car battery and I am not joking when I say that I have heard a story of a fellow doing that to his Ego battery and wanted to charge it direct from a car battery. It was quite a bang.
