Hi guys,

Wow, can't believe I have been vaping for over a month already! I'm down to 3 analogs a day from 2 and a half packs a day and I plan to have my last analog on Saturday at 5 pm...I'm into ritual, lol.

My current vaping includes 4 510s that I cycle through to keep the atomizers cool (I vape pretty constantly right now) and one pass-through 510 that gives me the best throat hit and flavor, it is awesome.

After watching tons of VapeTV and Dr. Vapor and a bunch of reviews on YouTube, this is what I am looking for...

I want a more powerful vaping experience. Like 5 volts or 6 volts...but, and here's the big but (as opposed to butts, like analog butts, arh arh arh)...I want something that comes ready to power from the wall...I vape at home in the same place all the time...by my PC and I want something I can plug in.

Now, I have my 510 usb pass-through but I'm guessing the more powerful mods need to be getting more juice than a usb plug can provide.

Does anyone have a favorite mod that can also be plugged in? I'd love to hear your thoughts!!

Annie

I would advise not limiting your mod choices to a pass thorough. Most of those simply charge the battery and you're vaping on the battery anyway while the usb is connection is charging it. If you find one you like great but there are alot of choices out there that the feature is not really needed.

As long as your getting proper power to a USB pass through you'll be getting the true 5v experience and no most computer USB ports won't do it. In fact it's generally not recommended to use anything above a 3.7v pass through on a computer usb port because of the higher amperage draw.

For a 5v pass through you want something that can provide 2 amps or above output. Some usb hubs will do it or you can get a USB/AC adapter like the one linked below and plug your pass through into it rather than the computer USB Port. Just make sure it's rated at 5v and 2 amps or above output.

2 amp AC to USB Adapter, ideal for Passthroughs

Here's a question: Should I be using a different type of 510 atty or cartomizers since I will be vaping at 5 volts? Regular 510s are 3.7 volts arent they?
Regular 510s are 3.7 volts but they run at 3.2 volts under load.

You should read through this, it will explain all of this stuff...
WWV Part II (page 5) | Vaping Guides

There is a chart in there that shows you the power from various voltage/atomizer resistance combinations.
Not many people like to go over 10 watts of power.
