Hello

I am using a Smoktech SID with a Nautilus. On the original coils I was vaping most juices at 8.5watts. Anything higher started to get a burnt taste. I switched to the bvcs recently and just kept it at 8.5 without checking higher. So today I decided to see if I could move it up any and just play around. I stepped all the way to 15 watts and actually love it at 15 watts. I mean really love it.

So my question is are there reasons not to go that high? I figured I probably burn through juice faster and I would think I could probably drop my nic down (running at 18mg now) I am still pretty new to vaping and I could not find an answer on google. I have two Sony vtc5s so the battery should keep up.

Thanks for reading

Vaping voltage depends on coil resistance, atomizer design, and most importantly, your atomizer's ability to deliver juice to the coil. The BVC coils are apparently much more efficient than the old Nautilus dual coils. At higher voltages you burn through more juice and inhale heavier vapor, but as long as it isn't starving for juice, a coil can deliver more flavor at higher voltage levels.

I try to maintain the level that gives me good flavor and good vapor without requiring me to constantly refill the tank. ;) Most of the time that's not on the highest level approaching burnout, but backed down a good way from that point.

Oh yeah if you like it that high I dont see a problem in it

I like to vape higher like that to it just all depends on yiur juice

I find that creamy dark custard juices vape good at lower watts and just thr opposite for fruit juices althought dragon fruit is tricky lol

I do find that if you get above 20 watts your bvc can get wonky lol and definitely at 50 watts it will fry :D

It really does depend a lot on the juice; a lot say that tobacco ejuices can be vaped hotter, but the Virginia that's my ADV doesn't respond to extreme heat well at all; I can't use any dual coils with it, which is fine because I hate them anyway; if I go over about 10.5 watts it just tastes bad, kinda burned, no matter what kind of wick. With rayon, I can go as high as that (10.5w) without bad taste, but with cotton I couldn't go over about 8.5w.
