HI.

What setting on on the mod? What type of coil did you use this time? Last time? Did the mod ask you if you were putting on a new coil? Prompt you for any input? Did you prime the coil with juice before firing?
As you can see we need loads more info before we can help.

So I got a wismec reuleaux recently I had a subbox mini before I took my tank and put it on the new mod and I had a coil and it worked fine with big clouds and tasted great but I got a new coil today and it's not been acting right as in where I got the coil today my mouth piece has been getting hot only at 4.4 secs any suggestions

Howdy @UPAxGUNxGRAVE ,

One thing that comes to mind is that your coil might need a little time to break in. When I change coils, I drop my wattage somewhat at first. Also, what @Sugar_and_Spice is good advice too.

Cheers,

JD

When coils are new, they need to be primed and broken in. Do that by making sure the coil wicks are saturated with ejuice. Dial down the power for the first few tokes to gently start to break in the coil. Starting at or above the previous settings on the old coil can result in ruining the new coil.

Mode for the coil depends on what type of wire it is. Clapton coils can come in Kanthal, nichrome, ss, or ti. The first 2 run in vw mode. The ss can run both in vw mode or ss 316 mode(temp contol) The ti is tc.

The older the coil gets the more power you can apply. Start low on vw then work your way up to where it taste good for you. It doesn't always have to be the highest it can go. If/when the coil starts to lack in taste, vapor, then dial up a couple of watts. This can help the coil last longer. The ranges recommended for coils are just a suggestion. Find where your own sweet spot is and go from there.

I had what you described happen to me. Somehow on my new G-priv (during a reg hit) I got that instant hot hit and of course stopped immediately. Looked at the mod and it was in temp mode even tho I had set it in vw. I accidently hit the only button above the power button and still am not sure of what I did. Only had mine 2 days now. So it can and does happen, just set the power back to where you had it.

Hope this helps some.

:)
