Yesterday I got my new Spinner kit,,,,,,2 1300mah spinners and 2 EVOD bccs. I was not immediately in love with them,,,,,,,

for some reason, my juice tasted really burnt really easily,,,,,,,like the first few minutes, it tasted pretty good (albeit a bit muted),,,,,,then it got burnt.

today, I'm keeping the voltage really low (like 3.5), and it's much better,,,,,I've also increased the VG in my DIY to 40% (Up from 30%) and added 2% more flavoring,,,,,,,,,so far so good. It's Juicy Peach (DIY) if that matters,,,,,,and my head is 1.8 ohms.

my question is this,,,,I'm a total NOOB to clearos,,,,,,,,is there any way to get a slightly warmer vape, without burning the juice?? I'm thinking maybe I should increase to 2.2 ohms in the heads,,,,,,,,,

but I'm not sure,,,,again, newbie,,,,,,,,,,,,any tips on NOT burning the juice/heads, whatever it is that tastes burnt? And is there any way to save that head that tasted burnt yesterday? LOL

thanks for any tips you can give a newbie to clearos :)

They say that clearos with the wick near the top are warmer than those with a wick near the bottom. ie: CE4 or vivi nova vs EVOD. I personally don't notice a difference.

I wonder if the higher VG percentage is slowing down the wicking action of the EVOD?

I use a couple of EVODs and have found that I really like the 1.8s on my regular eGo batteries, but prefer the 2.2s or 2.5s on my VV eGo-V (currently broken).

You should be able to soak and rinse the head with the burned flavor. Vape a little straight PG though it after it dries out and you should be good to go.

ETA: Congrats on the one year anniversary!

thank you!

I would have assumed that the heavier VG juice would have tasted burned SOONER than the other,,,,,,but that's not what happened,,,,,

YESTERDAY, I was vaping 70pg/30vg,,,,,,,it tasted burned,,,,,,,TODAY, I am vaping 60pg/40vg,,,,,,and it DOESN'T taste burned,,,,,,,IDK, weird LOL

I fiddled a lot yesterday,,,,,,,,maybe I just went up too high and burned the wick or something,,,,,,

Evod heads can really be hit or miss in terms of quality. My evods really came alive when I learned how to rewick them with cotton. Cotton really seems to wick alot faster allowing me to crank up the voltage for a little bit warmer vape. With 60/40 juice (what I use) you can try removing one of the loose flavor wicks to see if that helps with wicking. Doing that I would sometimes get a little flooding when I chain vaped, I think it was caused by the liquid getting heated up making it thinner.

The evod is nice, when the t3 is wonky there is the ole reliable evod

I actually use evod heads and coils in my t3. I have 5 evods and 5 t3 with evod coils, I love these kanger bottom feeders. I am gona load up on protanks once they fix the problem with the 510 connections breaking of so easy.

EVODs are my favorite on the market as of now. Followed by T3s.

There's an "MT3" out now that is sort of a cross between the T3 and the EVOD. Got one yesterday when my last disposable clearo burnt up.

If that is TFA Juicy Peach it may matter, but not in regards to burnt taste. It contains triacetin and does not like plastic. I believe in time it will kill the Evod.
