I've been vaping for six months now. The transition from smoking to vaping was both gradual and sporadic. I smoked 1.5 packs per day for 35 years. My last cigarette was 15 days ago. I currently vape about 2ml of juice (mostly PG, I believe) per day.

I don't inhale vapor to the lungs when I vape. Don't like it. I hold vapor in the mouth and throat and exhale very slowly through the nose. I feel the nicotine hit much faster that way.

I have a problem with a hoarse voice that began a couple of days ago. My voice is much better in the morning but near the end of the day my voice is raspy and hoarse and my voice box feels dry and tight.

-Is this problem simply a symptom of quitting smoking?

-Am I not drinking enough water?

-Could this be a propylene glycol related problem? Would a juice with a higher glycerine content help?

Hydration will help. It's allergy season, also. Lots of people complain about hoarseness when they start vaping. Vaping absorbs water from the mucous membranes in your throat. It you look up Propylene Glycol on Google, you will find that it's a humectant ... it absorbs water.

Throat dryness is a common complaint with vaping. It goes away as you get off cigarettes and get used to vaping. I think we all learn to drink more water to compensate.
