Couple questions. What's the scoop with the magnet? Is that for 18500/490 batteries?
I put a LR 510 atty on that works on my other mod and it doesn't fire even after I cranked it down but the 306 LR works that works on that other mod as well. Why is that? I don't want to break anything.
Also the hose seems a bit short to go all the way up the needle and all the way down to the bottom of the bottle. In order to make it right I have the bottle floating off the bottom of the mod.
The door is very tight and still trying to figure out how to open it easier. I need to stick my finger in the hole and pry against the bottle which in turn fills the drip cup.
Aside from that it's beautiful.

Some batteries are shorter than others, the magnet is to help with that. 18500 batteries would be 15mm shorter than 18650's though--that's over half an inch and I don't think Mike's included any half-inch long magnets with his Hogs.

You can try adjusting the center post on the atty. That's a problem that's had threads devoted to it since well before Mike offered his Mods for sale. Not all battery connectors are made the same and atomizer/cartomizer connectors vary immensely, sometimes even within the same brand.

Also the hose seems a bit short to go all the way up the needle and all the way down to the bottom of the bottle. In order to make it right I have the bottle floating off the bottom of the mod.

Can't really say anything about this without seeing it.

On the other hand, the tube doesn't have to go all the way up the needle, just make a decent connection.

The door is very tight and still trying to figure out how to open it easier. I need to stick my finger in the hole and pry against the bottle which in turn fills the drip cup.

That has been addressed as well. There is no pat answer as Hog's Mods are "organic creations." Being made of wood they can be very susceptible to factors such as humidity, which will make the wood swell. You could lightly sand the edges of the door to make the fit not so tight (a "fix" Mike has mentioned), but if the humidity falls significantly then the wood will contract again and the door will become loose. A couple of people have suggested soap (I would think bar soap rather than liquid). When doors would get tight when I was growing up we would sometimes rub them with paraffin or a white candle.

Hope at least some of this has helped :)

The magnet was orginally for 18650 IMR batts, ended up finding another spring that was longer and the magnets are not needed, I just kept including them for people until I ran out of them.

You are the 3rd person now that has informed me of certain attys not firing. The one atty I looked at that was sent to me that wouldnt fire ended up having the center pin on the bottom of the atty recessed a bit up into the atty and therefore was not making contact.

Depending on where you live the wood shrinks and swells, after a little bit of use they are easier to got off and on.

*EDIT
Yeah What Pwyll said :)

I said "24 hour support," but I didn't say you'd necessarily get your answer in the same 24 hours ;)

I didn't realize you were the answer guy. I was asking anyone. I appreciate all the help that's for sure and never doubt that I don't like the mod. I really dig it.

Now clue me in as I'm not familiar with the chain of command here. Hogwart is the owner as I see it and does a great job with fabrication. Now on the other hand are you self appointed tech support, the PR guy, or another pretty face? I'm confused and mean no disrespect as I enjoy having fun as well.

I think bottom feeders actually feed better with a shorter tube. If you get one that's too long, then you risk the chance of trying to suck no juice from the vacuum created from the bottom of the bottle. If you get to the end of a juice bottle, then it takes forever and a day to get the juice up to the atty connection.

Usually, we're left with three options. (1) Leave the tube up in the bottle a ways to allow the juice to flow freely. (2) Do a diagonal cut at the end of the tube to allow the juice to flow. Or, (3) cut the tube shorter.

Any of these work just perfect:)

Mike(Hogwart) is the owner/builder, Hot2Trot is his wife/boss :)lol:), but not an owner or maker of Hog Mods, then there's me, Mike's lesbian. Then there's pwyll and Trouble...they know stuff and are very helpful. Everyone involved int the thread is helpful and friendly. We're all just one big happy Hog lovin' family around here.

The chain of command is Mike. He makes 'em, he sells 'em. When it comes to the Hogs, there is no one above him or below him--the buck starts and stops there. Of course he has a life outside the ECF and making mods-- he is married with kids, so he is also equal member of an anarcho-syndicalistic collective. This means Amy (hot2trot) is his boss outside of making Hogs and providing them to us.

So if you want definitive answers, Mike is your man. The rest of the family tries to help out, but you may not get a reply for a while depending on whether anyone's logged in and reading or not...

And I'm not the answer guy, I just happened to reply to your post first...

:)

Hey now! my Boss?? I still wear the pants in this house

(when shes not around)

Then perhaps you should wear a skirt more often. I've found it much easier to influence the wife when I'm wearing a kilt than it ever is when I'm wearing pants.

Me, in pants: "(anything, really)"
Wife: "Oh, you think so, do you? Well let me tell you, Mr. Man..."

Me, kilted: "(almost anything)"
Wife: "Anything you say, dear..."
