I took my Hog mod to the lake with me today. :) Don't worry, I coated it in sunblock, it's fine. ;)

I don't even think you needed the sunblock. I honestly think Mike found a way to coat these with Teflon. I don't usually have liquid accidents, but I had a major one the other night(nothing to do w/ leakage--it was my st*pidity). There's absolutely no sign of it on my Hog!

I really want one of these mods!!!!!!! What number is next?

IIRC, #16 will be the first number in the next batch--pretty sure this one ended on number fifteen.

The important thing is that #13 is on it's way home and is scheduled to arrive the same day that the batteries and charger I bought for it are scheduled to arrive

Dude ... isopropyl is spooky stuff to mess with .. cheap but poisonous .. google for isopropyl poisoning and you will see it can effect the central nervous system and liver .. think I will pass on that one

Safer alternative would be, IMHO, that PGA (pure grain alcohol) .. not available in California I don't believe .. read that hi-test vodka can also be used for cleaning purposes.

First off, I'm not suggesting somebody drink it. It evaporates and leaves no more inhalation residue risk than grain does. And it's MUCH cheaper to make a rinse out of before drying your atty.

So to anybody who took my post as drink or vape or mix isopropyl into anything to inhale. Or just take a deep whiff of the bottle. Please don't. But if you can get it at 97% or 99% and want to save the money, there is simply no evidence to indicate this is going to harm you in this limited use. -Magnus

Yeah I definitely wouldn't drink it. At work we use it for cleaning before caulking. My spray bottle broke one day so I took an empty mountain dew bottle and poked a pin hole in top to use it as a squirt bottle for the Isoprpyl. When I went to take a chug of my actual mountain dew I grabbed the wrong bottle. Bad bad stuff

I just used it last night to clean some attys, got that nasty taste out and didn't really notice anything bad about the attys afterwards. I'm in CA so cant get the PGA

Oh how I do hate those little silicone gaskets in the atty connectors that like to tear so easily when your trying to assemble the :(
Have find a gasket suplier to make use of this pile of connectors with no gaskets.

GE Clear 100% Silicone, small tube, assemble w/tiny bit of GE, let dry a couple of hours, test for shorts, Bob's your uncle. Worth a try if you have a slug of bad connectors.

And I must say assembling these atty connectors has gotten better after a few tips from Brad over at Sweetvapes.
If you some how stumbled onto this thread and haven't checked out Brads work yet, definately check his gripper mods. (after you get a Hog Mod of course)
Brads got some nice wood. Hrmm, now that just sounds wrong.
