Since I went VV, I can't vape on anything else. And, now that I can make my own carto tanks from syringes, I'm just hooked on the combination. I am starting a small collection of wood VV mods. IMHO, they are just so warm in the hand and classy looking. I've always leaned toward things that were different, and not like what everyone else has.

Would be great for tanks. ;) I just need a 3.7v one that doesn't feed, I put the 1.7ohm cartos in my tanks and they rock with the 18650 battery. :D Jon said there won't be any Copper Haze in this next batch of his tanks. :( I'm holding out for that one...gonna look FANTASTIC on my non-feeding Hog!!

And I was thinking how to how to do the atty connector to the vv non feeders since I dont really want to have the connector just sitting on the wood with no protction. And ya cant use the cups because the tanks wont work with them.
I'm thinking, use the cups for any potential leaks from the tanks or cartos and using http://www.madvapes.com/Shorty-510-Extension-and-Connector_p_2987.html for the connector which should bring the connection to the top of the cup. The only issue I see with it is that the air intake wouldn't be at the bottom of the cup so if say a carto leaked you wouldn't be able to just suck the juiceback up. On the non-feeders I might be able to recess the cup into the top cap so you have a more stream line looking top.

Whatcha think?

Maybe, if you snag a Magenta Bliss or Purple Rain, I'd trade you for my Copper Haze?????

I'm the same as my4jewels, since I've gone to VV, nothing else seems to do it for me. A VV Hog would be an awesome addition for me! :)

This is what I was hoping for. I really like this connection on my boxmod. It's sealed tight with epoxy. This is the top of my Krimson Kustom VV boxmod.

Yeah I can do one like that if thats what you want. I have tons of those cheap little screw grommets.

Lol, personally I'd wait and let me order a couple of those extended connectors from madvapes and let me see if it will work. Those grommets don't really offer much of a well should you have a decent sized leak.
I'll order some up tonight and get one assembled and post a pic when I'm done so we can compare them. Heck, what I'm thinking might not even work.
Actually I'm liking that set up more. That whole setup would cost me under $2, what I was thinking will cost me over $12 :)

Are the threads inferior on the cheap little screw grommet? Or is it just that it's less expensive? I have had to have that piece replaced on my hubby's boxmod. It was a real ordeal to replace it for the maker of the mod. Hubby was very gentle with it, too. The threads were trashed in about a month or so. Perhaps they were questionable to begin with, but they seemed okay to us. My threads are just fine.

If the quality of that screw grommet is "iffy", I'd rather explore other options for a hoggie.

That 510 adapter is the same one I use on my other mods for tanks, and it works like a dream:) If you made the regular/permanent 510 connection stick up out of the mod and just include, or attach the stealth 510-510 adapter it would work real well:) It helps improve air flow on my other mods:) Just my nickel/experience:)

The thread on the actual atomizer connector seem pretty much the same to me from any vendor I buy them from. You just have to be gentle screwing attys in, very easy to cross thread them if your not careful.
As far as the grommet is concerned, that a completely seperate piece than the atty connector. The atty connector is just epoxied into it.
I used one of those gromets on one of the first box mods I made for myself because it was the only thing I could find at the time and it only cost me like $2 for a bag of 10 of them. Finding suitable catch cups is quite a pain and the ones being used by (i think) most wood mod makers are pushing $5 a catch cup their cost. They just perform and look better than the screw grommets in my opinion.

I'd like if you could find something with the same low profile with a wider well for liquid, did that come out right? For the non feeders:)
