Couple of questions as I join the ranks of the Hog Army. Is it okay to lay her on the side, or on the back, when I'm not vaping? Also, I remember reading earlier on that people were using cartos with the stuffing pulled out.... does that make a big difference? Also, is there a better carto to use on the Hog @ 2.0 ohms, than others?

Right now, I've got a standard 510 atty, and I'm gonna try out the 2.0 atties which Brad carries-- and I've never used cartos, but it seems like cartos is the way to go, 'cause you can just keep them wet all the time, in theory.

I bounce back n forth between attys and cartos but I prefer the cartos. I've tried the cartos with the stuffing pulled out and they actually work well but I usually drip with them. I'll throw one on the Hog and see what it does. I've never had a drop of juice leak from my hog no matter if it's on it side front, back, upside down, whatever. the only way I can think of it might leak is if you left it in the car in the summer and the fluid expanded enough to force it's way up to the top of the connector and I had mine in the car in the texas heat and it didn't happen. I made sure it was upright in the cup holder when I left it in the car though. The rest of the time when I travel it's on it's back tucked under the fold down center seat in my truck right under my Rt hand. :)

Do you have the older black cup or the chrome cup?

I started pulling the stuffing because when a carto is "empty" (no longer flowing joose), it still contains a significant amount of joose and seemed a waste to me since I was manually feeding the coil from below anyway. I like the freer draw from a de-stuffed Boge anyway.

I can lay my Hog down (black cup) and not lose any fluid, but I was already in the habit of vaping to the verge of a dry hit before putting the PV down anyway since I HAD to with my REOs or they would leak all over themselves/my pocket/the table, whatever.

I should add that it's better to keep it standing, of course.

Yeah the chrome cups are a little larger in dia. Just need to be careful you don't seriously over feed the atty where your filling up the cup. Best way is to just squeeze the bottle till you see juice starting to come out at the base of the atty, then stop and give it a little suck to pull that little extra juice into the atty. The atty should be sufficiently fed when you just start to see the juice starting to emerge at the base of the atty

...does removing the stuffing from the cartos affect the flavor or TH at all?

Not at all. Incidentally, I moved up to mods from an eGo-T and quickly to a Hog...you are going to be THRILLED with the difference in performance, flavor, ease of use, long battery life, and no fiddling around!
