I know Mike, it's always so damn hard...even when it's the best thing to do. We have an amazing vet (a mobile vet), she came right to the house and did it here so James could be right on the couch in her favorite spot, with me and Beth petting her. My 1 year old dog has been looking for her.

Crap happens, Mike, no biggie. Hopefully they'll catch it and correct.

Yeah Cleo, I put the last two numbers of the zip backwards =(
They said that they should either fix it on the way to you and will get it tomorrow or it will be returned back to me.
Very sorry about that.

B - that's so hard, when we had to put down our precious, the other cats just walked around howling, looking for her for days. It broke my heart every time I'd catch one of them looking in her favorite spots.

((((((((B))))))))))))))) so sorry to hear about your loss. Does it make it ANY easier having another pet around or not? I only have one doggie and just can't fathom losing her :(

No if anything it just makes you miss the dog more. I only had one dog around and when we had to put him down I cried for about a week or two. Especially when i saw his favorite toys or something like that. Losing him was like losing a brother to me so yes even though im a man and men dont cry, that was just impossible to not cry over. My parents asked me if i wanted to go and be there with him when they put him down and i just couldn't do it. They said i should go and tell him i love him and say goodbye and I said "He knows". It was very hard and I don't want to do that again.

We had to put our other Rat Terrier down a year and a half ago...we still had James and it was still damn hard. They all have their own personalities. We still have Stella (1 year old Pit/Chow) and 8 cats...and this is tearing us up. We do have to keep our heads though and continue to care for and love the others, so at least having them does change our focus from time to time and distract us.
