Yeah haha, people sometimes can be slaves to brands, I think SS is the smoothest vape(My throat tells me so, everyone differs tho), even on wattage I noticed that, many love Kanthal but once I tried SS I was sold, I used it in wattage on an innokin Coolfire 40w for months before getting a TC device.

That's cool, I can deal with a bit of overhang, honestly I just wanted a huge build deck lol...
There are a lot of DNA fan boys out there, and I am admittedly one, owning more than a dozen dna mods. There are a lot of these DNA fan boys that are just not open to new ideas, devices and technologies, Especially if the DNA can't do the same job. That is to their own detriment. I have been berated more than a tad myself for telling people in the Evolv threads I have participated in about a great sale on the Slice for under $30 (that ended) and recommending they try it and I was quite surprised at the reaction by some. It was sacrilege to some in the thread.

I had to try the G2 to test the Kanthal TC claim and I've gotta give credit where credit is due. It is very subjective, depending on the user to dial in the accuracy, but once set, it performs quite well and is very consistent. I now own 1) G2 and 4) Slice units (2 NIB). I recommend them to everyone to use up all those stock kanthal coils that come with tanks and to TC claptons and complex coil configurations that the DNAs are challenged with. I don't consider it a replacement for a DNA device, but a complement to one as it picks up and does what the DNA cannot. By the same token, I think the DNA is very important to use next to the G2 to help one calibrate the running temp correctly. They complement one another in no uncertain terms and I appreciate the technology and implementation in both for what they are.

Don't listen to people who are so closed minded they wont try other devices and think they have a right to speak from a position of authority about it. That is just bull. You will also find a few and one in particular especially who will go off about DNAs, Evolv & DNA Fan Boys to no end. It won't take long to figure out who I'm talking about. Be careful what you say in some of these threads as passions can run a lot higher than necessary or should be considered acceptable.

I don't get the need for all that kind of behavior and have very little patience for it on either side. We are all vapers and should try to help each other & not pull that crap. Consider yourself warned that you will run across these type of things.

I have to add - I have purchased three (discounted with promo codes) Wrecker G2s from vaporcube over the past 6 months. The first two are great and with no issues. The third is, in a sense, DOA. It does "turn on" but only displays a continuous "CONNECT ATOMIZER" error. I contacted vaporcube (thru their website's RMA ticket system) the day it was delivered to tell them about this issue. 12 days went by until I got a response. Essentially they apologized for the delay in communication, back-end ticket problems, etc. They said my best bet was to go thru HohmTech's warranty center to resolve the issue. That entails paying a $8 age-verification and return shipping fee and sending the mod to the authorized warranty center (guess who that is? oh yeah its vaporcube) on my own dime.
Needless to say I am not very happy about vaporcubes customer service/support.

That scares me a tad...why the 8 dollar fee? You bought the mod already, you are obviously over 18 then no? -_- I honestly would not take that, probably would do a chargeback even though I hate doing that(Never really did, but it would be a first...You got 120 days usually I think...basically the warranty time on this device I suspect).

Plus who the hell charges for age verification, isn't that usually free?

DOA's do happen, I am guessing if you get a good one you are in the clear tho? Any day 1 or owners that had them for a while here who uses it as a daily beater? Curious of the quality now lol...

Yeah that is not what I would call the best support. I wouldn't relate that story on the other forums G2 thread as it might get a backlash. I had a similar experience with them not getting back to me with answers to my questions on a pre-purchase basis. Bought it somewhere else as a result, but VaporCube is essentially the Holmtech authorized Vending partner/Service center.

I would think they should have waived the fee in a situation like a DOA mod and I would be relentless seeking a credit. For that $8 fee they are handling the shipping cost to them via prepaid RMA label or did you have pay shipping to them as well?

Hana Mods tried to charge me $20 to ship a mod back for warranty service. Ended up fixing it myself.

Wow, very well said, so much more than I could hope to do.

I hope I am not the one that comes accross as defensive, I always try and give the DNA it's due, about to buy a Lost Vape Finder DNA 167.

I agree with a lot of what you had to say and wish I could say that so eloquently.

Definitely not you Mjag. You know who I'm talking about. He's a good guy & very knowledgeable, but it gets old real fast.

Same with my DNA buddies. I don't get it. Hohmtech FSK chip is a damn good chip for what it does, so are the DNAs. I can like them both without berating either or more importantly the users of either. Shame others cannot.

Bet if you made a public stink on their social media pages they would wave the fee...

What is this other forum...? Kinda curious now...
Honestly if you call them up you can get them to do right by you. I called them when I had ordered a Slice for both me and a friend. Mine was fine but my friends had some dings on finish. I was ...... on the phone and they agreed to get me a replacement without any damn fee.

I still am not happy with that situation but they made it right. I have not had any issues since.

Newegg is was the same back in the day, do it online, pay a restocking fee, do it on the phone and it's free, it's pretty common, that puts me at ease, thanks, guessing the people on the computers dealing with the warranties aren't the same folks on the phones...it happens. Seems like Vaporcube might be more in the wrong.

What type of warranty comes with this, saw the Slice came with a 500 day, but saw nothing on the G2.

The g2 looks like my old sigelei 150 lol. 129 is a bit steep. More than twice the cost of my xcube 2 that a year ago was 50 shipped. But that's about the same as a pricey DNA dual battery mod I think. Get what you pay for and if I could be in TC heaven would be worth it for sure.

Be better if I could pick one up for about 100. Hopefully there is a coupon code for the G2?

The slice seems like a good value but I've never liked single battery mods. Plus I have grown accustomed to my Sony vtc5s and Sammy 25rs, I trust them for all my sub ohming needs. The 26650s or whatever it takes, I don't know much about.

Vaporcube.com

code G2FLASHX1 brings it to 44.97, came to 48 and change with shipping.

Good lookin out guys. How long does this coupon good for? Do I have a few days to think it over? Probably can make a decision in the next 12 hours lol if had too. Searched the code and all I can find is while supplies last. Dunno these things selling like hotcakes? maybe should buy NOW. 48 bucks is almost the same I was going to pay for an xcube ultra. This SHOULD be leaps and bounds better than anything from Smok as much as I love my old xcube 2. The build quality is good on these?

Thanks!

It does say while supplies last. They wont run out of G2s, but a specific color or style may run out on you if you wait too long.

I Agree I have all the Hohmtech mods including the Skillet and like you I am a Fanboy of Hohmtech and your right we need to get along, i don't own any DNA mods but thats not to say I will never buy one, I love the FSK chip but i also have mods by Joytech, Kanger and Ijoy. With so many out there that want to see us regulated out of vaping the infighting can get a little bit sillywe have to remember that most of us got into this to kick stinkies and live a better and healthier life.

Vape what makes you happy and what you can afford, like what brand you like but don't knock another for his views, we are all FAMILY please remember that.

Happy VAPING to ALL>

the G2 has a 90 day warranty.

Thanks, pretty much the same as other devices I own, usually after the 3 month mark I am in the clear for a long while, seems fine.

Should be here Saturday, batteries not sure when those will get here, 101vape hasn't sent exact shipping time yet...or usps hasn't whatever haha.
