RDA Holmes v1 vs v2

I have had the Cigreen Holmes rda for a month now and have to say it is the best damn dripper I have ever used -- HUGE drip well with absolutely no leaking, adjustable airflow control without having to unscrew the cap, amazing flavor, and the clouds keep coming. Before I got it, I thought the Magma was the best dripper out their for flavor, but it doesn't even come close to the Holmes. I know there are probably other drippers out there costing over $100 that are probably better than the Holmes, but for $30, it cannot be beat, IMO.

I recently got an email from vapordna advertising the Holmes v2. From the product description (Holmes RDA Rebuildable Atomizer by Cigreen), it looks like the main difference is that the top cap is now removable from the deck, with better insulation. But, I'm not sure if that's the only difference and if it's worth getting the v2.

I know there aren't that many Holmes users out there yet, but for those using it -- anyone try both the v1 and v2 and can comment on the differences in terms of vape and flavor?

Mine was just ahipped! Cannot WAIT. I wanted to love the Magma but the lack of airflow made it unusable for me. If this one has airflow equivalent or better than the Veritas, with Magma tier flavor, I found myself THE dripper!

I read that they removed half of the airflow (only 2 air holes now). I am very disappointed; I thought I was essentially getting a Holmes v1 but they seem to have ruined it.

If that is the case, I agree. The four air holes is what makes the holmes rock.

How does the airflow on the v1 compare to say a Veritas? How much more airflow when compared to a Magma?

For me, airflow on v1 is at least 4x better than Magma. If they really went to two holes, I would return it and find a place that has the v1

I had to order mine from the UK. It was after they weren't being produced but right before the v2 came out, and that was a pain to find. I'm surprised you can still get them

The v2 is arriving today. The v1 will be here next week. Should I bother trying out v2 or should I wait for v1?

I would like to know what the v2 is like vs v1. But if you were planning to return it, that may not be an option. But heh..its only $30...

Can you close off one the the airholes and run single coil on the v2?

Nah. It has holes along the entire ring, just like the v1.

I was really happy with the V2 until it started leaking through the 510. Seems that is a issue for a lot of people. It's a shame, too, because I find the flavor to be outstanding. I was running single coil as well with no problems.

Never had a leaking issue with the v1. Not sure what they changed in v2 to cause this.

I am SOOOO glad I waited for this Holmes v1! I built a simple 26g 7.5 wrap build 2.5mm (.4 ohms roughly). It's the perfect amount of airflow for me! Man, I'm happy. Flavor is clearly awesome. Great design, and the top isnt screw on like v2. Why did they change this !?!??
