In one of the re-building videos that I have watched they used a sewing needle or straight pin and held it with the wicks. He then wrapped the kanthal around the needle and the wicks and pulled it out afterwards. It seemed to work really well to make it easier to wrap the coil. Might be worth a try both ways and see which is easier.

It also keeps you from wrapping the wire too tightly around the wick and cutting off the wicking action.

Does anyone use the vivi nova with 100% VG? Wanted to get some advice before I order one. I use a 1100mah KGo. Thanks.

i use solely 100% vg, they work well, when you get low on the tank, add more of the same juice to thin it out or dump it and add a different juice

Just an update for people who were following my other thread about me complaining about cartomizers lol.

So just for the he double hockey sticks of it I decided to load up an xxl 2.5 ohm (at 4.2 volts) smoktek carto tonight. Yup, Cartomizers just aren't for me, getting no throat hit and almost no flavor, like vaping water. Unless I really heat the carto up and take 3 or 4 really hard primer puffs. So I switched back to the vivi nova with the 2.8 head and all was good again. Kinda bummed cause I like the look of a nice long carto with a drip tip on my ego.

Well there we have it it. Just bought two vivi mini novas.

just when I thought I was going to save some $! Kind of done with the stardusts, these seem like a step up.

Have y'all had any issues with the Mini Nova heads? Compared to the Stardust heads they seem really weak. I want to love the mini nova, but it doesn't perform nearly as well as the Stardust v2.

Lol that's the exact video I was talking about. Just wasn't sure if hot water was enough, but guess what... it is! Was getting bored with the pipe juice, so I unscrewed the cap, poured the rest of the pipe liquid back into the bottle. Unscrewed the base, rinsed it under hot water as well as the drip tip and top. Blew it out and dried as much as I could with paper towel. Popped it back together, filled it with tigers blood (liquid jolly rancher) First few hits were low vape, damp wicks I guess but after that is was all good! AMAZING!!!

just answered the question I have been looking / searching for regarding my CE5 clearomizer and cleaning the head especially if it's not burnt and doesn't need changing yet!

I am really looking into the ViVi Nova tanks as well and am enjoying this thread :)

I just ordered two mini novas from Gotvapes. Hope they live up to the hype. The last things I tried were the Kanger T2 and T0, they didn't quite do it for me. I can't even find the T2, but I do remember removing it from my battery and switching to an atomizer a few times because the throat hit wasn't there and it was too airy. The flavor could have been better too. I expected better but I'm not too surprised. As for the T0, there was a terrible plastic taste that didn't go away after cleaning and changing the liquid. I can't even vape it..

As far as the mini novas go... how long do coil heads last? I suppose that is the only thing I'll need to replace from time to time?

Yeah Kanger T2 = JUNK, they are for ppl who rarely ever smoked I imagine... you might as well buy a Blu e-cig if you like smoking thru a Kanger lol

Stardusts... well from my experience about 50% of them will hit amazing, the other half will hit wack, it's the luck of the draw... if you get the lucky stardust tho, your in for a treat... if you think about cleaning the coil tho... basically thats the end of the journey!

I'm waiting for my Viva Nova an am excited

With my vaping style, I have been burning through 1 coil in about a week/week and a half. My gf who vapes light to medium is still on her first coil from receiving them on the 10th of September.
Still wasn't sure if I wanted to rebuild them or not and I have 1 coil left, so I ended up just ordering 10 more coils. I'm surprised gotvapes doesn't sell the wire and wick. They only sell the wire/wick kit for the other clearo
