I know I know lol. My first thought watching rewicking vids was UGH.
Was an audi tech (car company) for 12 years and I hated doing wiring repairs, I have butterfinger monkey hands lol

I thought the new atty heads were already wicked. Just making sure. I'm a little new to tanks and was thinking the vivi tanks were the answer to my prayers.

I believe you can either order new heads for them, OR you can rewick/recoil them yourself. This is partly the reason I'm considering getting some. If big brother ever tries to make ecig parts illegal or taxes the hell out of them, I can give them the finger.

Yes, they are. I'm talking about the day the atty dies. You can rewick them yourself if you want or just say screw it and get replacements that come wicked.

With all the vivi nova talk of late, i'm thinking of making a buy on a few of these. I have one question for you guys. Busuardo in his review mentions that he gets dry hits once the tanks get lower than half full. Is that true?

Not if you tip and twirl. The wicks enter the coil head near the top of the tank. It is important to keep the wick fed with juice at that spot. So every 5 - 10 toots off your Nova, just tip her upside down so the juice bathes those wicks where it enters the atty. If you don't, you will likely get some dry hits. Don't expect the end of the wick to wick the juice up the length of the wick and keep up with your vaping. Got to get it juiced up where the wicks enter the atty. That's why people do not notice much of a difference between long wicks and short wicks. Don't have to let it soak, just get some jucie on that part of the wick and move on.

This is the reason I have switched to all rebuildables. They really are easy to do. If I can do it, anyone can. I am set foor a good long time with wick and wire.

bjannr thanks for your answers...really appreciate you taking the time....on the wick feeding im familiar with that as i already use ce2 cartomizers and i do tip them from time to time so the nova functions the same eh?

as for the rebuildable option...can you tell me where you are getting the wicks and wire? im considering hoosier for a vv gripper, some nova tanks and a few other items i need...i notice he has some wire and wicks there but the site says they are for the smoke tech tank not the nova...is there a difference?

You can go to Carolina Vapes and get her 1.5mm glass wick and some Nichrome wire. Three strands of the glass wick will do. She also has some cotton wick. Be sure to watch some vids on rewicking your heads. Cotton is OK but overhyped by some. And you can't dry burn it. To each their own but the glass wick is just fine for me.

Well there we have it it. Just bought two vivi mini novas.

just when I thought I was going to save some $! Kind of done with the stardusts, these seem like a step up.

Congratulations. I'm a Nova driver too and I find (as with all e-cig equipment) that if you keep 'em clean, they love you back. When they are so easy to clean, why wouldn't you want to feel the love.

So true and soo easy to clean. What I really love is if you have a flavor in there and looking to change it up and the next flavor is something that would go well with the current flavor in the tank, for me.... no need to clean, just add it to the tank. After the old flavor is gone, its literally gone! No slight hint of old flavor unlike cartomizers.

So you can't fill the minis the same way as the regular vivi's? Or is it just trickier because they are smaller? The pbusardo vid covers re-wicking also. I already have the Kanthal, so I ordered some wick. He made it look so easy, I was like "Hey I could do that!". If its really that easy, I AM SET;)

I saw your post but couldnt respond, was on my way back from NJ.
You can fill them the same way, just I seem to have trouble filling the minis with my gorilla hands. You will notice on the minis that when you squeeze your bottle of juice into the tank, the tank seems to suck the liquid into the bottom. A few times I got some in the air hole, I got a little better by slightly pushing the silicone ring out of the way with the bottle dropper.
It does seem pretty easy to rebuild, I think the toughest for me will be winding the wire around the wick.
