Just got some 1.5 ohm dual coil 510 cartos. Filled one with a previously bland Irish Cream. Grabbed one of my eGo Mega batts (I know, I know...) and pulled. Whoa, where da hell has that flavor been?

The TH and vapor pretty much equals my filler carts and the draw was a bit lighter. BUT, the flavor was definitely superior to the carts and tanks! Glad I bought 15 of 'em.

Now I have to re-evaluate all the flavs I have in the 'not so' and 'so so' bins.

I've never tried a mod and been itchin' for a rea$onable bottom feeder. Been waiting for the technology curve to level out and let others review the results. Can I expect the same or better flavor presence with a decent mod/kit? If so, then I may have to bump up my timetable.

TIA

First, you won't find a more reasonably priced bottom feeder than this. You can't run the dual coils on it, though. I use a cisco 2.0 ohm atty or a boge 2.0 ohm carto on it.

Cartomizers: For flavor, I'm sold on the dual coils and the boge 2.0 ohm cartos. Mods/Bottom Feeders: There are many to choose from these days. REOs seem to have the most vocal following here on ECF, but there are lot of others. Have a look at this thread.

If all you have is eGo batteries, then just about any mod of any style will give you more voltage. The eGo batts are regulated to 3.2v. Just any old tube or box mod without any extra features will let you use 3.7v and higher (depending on configuration). The dual coils love volts and pull a lot of amps. The more you push them, the better they get (to a point anyway). I'm incredibly satisfied with the 1.5 ohm dual coils at 5.0 volts.

There are so many different mods out there... and even so many different bottom feeders that it isn't an easy choice. -- In fact, after using my little Old Goat for about a month now, I think I'm going to add another feeder to my list of "going to buy" items. I'm going to wait a few more weeks before I make a choice to see how the two advanced top feeders "coming soon" stack up. VVPV from notcigs and the Eclipse at digital ciggz are both supposedly going to hit the market in the near future. They're going to be expensive, though.

You want Flavor? Not to turn you off of dual coils, I have them and love them but dripping with a 306 or another 3.0 ohm on 5 volts will get you great flavor. I found with duals or any carto's you get more of an airy hit as they empty and I don't like that. At times I want lots of flavor and only want to vape a little say a Wyatt Earp 24 mg with morning coffee, I grab my 306 and drip. I haven't tried a wick type carto yet, perhaps these are better on the airy hit thing.

Thanx for your inputs!

As to the dual coil and eGo batt, I've now gone through two fills on the first carto. The flav is now dropping off and the filler is almost white again. It's surprising how long the flavor last on these.

Just loaded another carto with some so-so Creamy Coconut. I'll update later this evening.

I must say that I'm very pleased and impressed with this combo!
