I emailed our waitress over lunch today. Time will tell I guess.

Hi Rachel,

This is Chuck, we met briefly at KG's on Saturday night. I've also copied Duane, who gave you those two disposable e-cigarettes. As I said I would, I wanted to follow up with you on how that e-cig is treating you.

Let me explain why we do this. Most, if not all, of us that have switched to e-cigs were die hard (pun intended) smokers who had tried to quit numerous times using the gum, the patch, Chantix, etc. and failed. We all have our own stories, but in one way or another we found out about e-cigarettes, and that they are not a joke or a fad. They really do work and can help you quit smoking. Personally, I will be smoke-free for one year next month. Now I cant stand what a cigarette tastes and feels like, and would never EVER go back to smoking.

I could cite many more stories like mine from other Hoosiers that I know who have made the switch, and there are many thousands more across America. People who switch to vaping (using an ecig) are often so moved by how easy it was to give up cigarettes, and the impact that has on their lives, that they have to tell other people about. This is the essence of how our group was formed, and why we are so motivated to help others make the switch.

Keep in mind that the disposables you have are just that, disposable. I would highly recommend you look into a ~$50 starter kit to set you off on the right foot, and give you the best chance for success. Two that I recommend for newcomers are smokelessimage.com and bloogplanet.com. You can't go wrong with anything you find there. Of course opinions will vary on what to start with, but the thing to keep in mind is that everyone's "smoking needs" are highly personal and vary greatly. Only experimentation can tell you what works best for you.

We hope that you will keep in touch with us on switching to vaping, and that you give up those nasty analogs (what vapers call regular cigarettes.)

"Hands" and I had a terrific time. He really likes his Lavatube, and I'm loving my Stardust (thanks be to AlmightyGod) and juices (thanks be to Hoosier & IndyVaporShop). John is eying a Darwin, now, LOL, and said he has about $50 in a shopping cart of attys and other stuff. I hope anyone that missed it can make the next one, and I hope we can make Kokomo.

Well, I called Jeff at the Kokomo shop per his request in the email reply.

What I know with certainty:
We are welcome to come
This Kokofest is being thrown together at the last minute
There are out of state vendors coming

What I think I heard:
If we supply Logo & Link to the other contact at the bottom of the Kokofest page (if it ever comes back online) it will be posted.
Jeff has been trying to start a social vaping club but hasn't had much luck.
The "fest" is in a banquet room of the restaurant.
There is a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn for those coming in from afar.

That's what I know/think I know...

I can't seem to find the PSD of the one I made. I'll have to research the font. Once we get a logo finalized we should look at doing some gear for the club. I've done screen printed tshirts at home in the past (only one color) which would be cost effective for a low number, but if we want multiple colors we'd probably have to order them from somewhere.

Maybe business cards to pass out to people who are curious, etc.

Hey Trep, if I sent you an Illustrator file of the ecig+flag thing I made, could you combine all that into the final logo? Do you have Illustrator? I'm trying to stay focused on getting the Mission and Info sections of the site done. Also FB logins and "How To Contribute" are close to ready.

Business cards and flyers came up at the meet I think after you left. We need these asap to get into Indy Vapor Shop and to take to Kokofest. Once all that is done I like the idea of shirts. I vote for red just to be the opposite of SmokeFreeIndy and their green shirts! Kidding, kind of... : )

Paying for the business cards and flyers will be the challenge. It will have to be donation based. In writing the Mission section for the site I intend to draft some basic guidelines for the club to just set a foundation for how we operate. Nothing draconian, just that we are non-profit, non-vendor, volunteer/donation based group of Hoosiers.

Yea I have illustrator. Feel free to email. After we get the logo set. If someone wants to come up with a design for the card, I'd be more than happy to order the first 250-500.

We can pretty much do any shirt color with any one standard color DIY. Multiple colors we'd need to order.

Since Kokofest is in the fall, I'm sure Kokomonians will be glad to have you come back this year and drink beer and party with the bands. So you can do both, it's just that Kokovape is this spring.

Kokofest is at the southern end of the 31 corridor through Kokomo and Kokovape is just a bit north of center in the same 31 corridor.

I'm not a native, but I live fairly close.
