I hate decaffeinated coffee. :D

That whole fiasco just set me off. I defend the people who mean something to me and zen~ is one of those people. He's SPECIAL and didn't deserve ANY of that.

you're preaching to the choir here, sister... Mike was the first vaper i'd ever met almost 2 years ago. i consider him a friend and i drive to another city for vape meets partly because he's a part of that group. he is a different breed of cat... like i said.. it's sad that you felt you had to, but i'm glad you did it.

The Zenesis is a mechanical device with no wires and a basic electrical path, there is no danger in putting the battery in backwards. Unlike other devices which use simple electronics and diodes to keep current travel in one direction to prevent damage to their circuits.
If you ever use a kick, put the battery in backwards then put the kick in, this will ease the removal and it will still work.

edit: I am not recommending this as the Zenesis should be used as Zen designed it, I just want to say that it is not dangerous and you don't have to worry about anything blowing up.

credentials: Licensed electrician for 30 years and electronic engineer for the U.S.army for 25 years.

In electrical theory... it will make no difference reversing the battery...

But there's a twist... And it's called SAFETY!

When you reverse the battery... the housing of the PV becomes the POSITIVE conductor... and the outside of the battery is a NEGATIVE connection... if the thin covering of the battery is damaged or compromised, It will create a short circuit, causing the battery to go thermal. That's a really bad idea.

NEVER PUT A REVERSED BATTERY IN YOUR PV... EVER!

good morning everyone.

congrats to the lucky winners.

question. I read a post about the battery being put in backwards. I tried it just for fun. I noticed that the device seems to hit a little harder when the battery is inserted like that. I wonder if it is because the screw makes stronger contact with the battery nipple while the flat part makes better contact with the screw inside in the top.

my question is this. If this totally safe? Are there any downsides to this? I would love for zen to chime in if he sees this. Maybe it is the same and I am crazy. That would actually make sense. thanks.

Zen just chimed in... but I'll add to what I said above. When your battery is reversed, it is making contact in places that have not been "arced" and the connection is cleaner... If you clean your battery connections each time you charge the battery, you'll notice that it hits just as hard, no matter which direction the battery is facing. Basically, the harder hit you're experienceing is an indication your battery needs cleaning with a little fine sand paper.

OMG Sparky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never seen her angry like that before. WOW!!!!! Stand back all she's gonna blow!

One can only hope....

Oh... by the way...

The person that makes the 20,000th post will win a Z-atty-U when they are ready to ship...

Dang I missed this one. See what you guys did with all your posting. I have fixed my mower 4x's already this season and still have yet to mow the entire 5 acres for the first time. So here I am all proud that I have finally won, mowing around on my late Grandfathers early 90's riding mower, while I was losing at the same time lol. Oh well. 48 more hours and I will be running to the mail box with a charged battery, and a bottle of my favorite juice. :vapor:
