For me the only down side is the bottom button. I have never liked PV's with bottom buttons. I am working through it and I'm sure the bottom button thing will grow on me. I know for sure I want to get some of the Z-atty's (P and U) so I can enjoy a Zen with a side button PV.:)

Great post Fran, now you got my anticipation level up a notch to 11.

I'm not sure how I feel about the bottom button since I've never tried one but I know I'm happy with the side button on the Provari. Guess I will reserve judgement until I try one then decide whether to go the z-atty route. I was also thinking it'd be more cost efficient to have several z-attys with different juices than several mini's. What to do. I'm sure I'll probably end up with every option in the end. :D

The Black Ice is awesome! It's very much like the Aussie Licorice. The Aussie Licorice has a bite to it from the black licorice, and the Black Ice is like that but menthol added... What's neat is that it isn't minty at all, so it enhances the licorice "twinge" instead of being mint plus licorice. Will give my thoughts on the raspberry bacco in a little while.

Yay Fran! I'm so glad you like them! Did you put the new one on the easiest button setting? I had a really hard time with the button (carpal tunnel) until I did that... now, no problems!

Yes I did change it to the easiest setting before I even loaded the tank. I also used the small magnet I took out of the new one to make the one I got yesterday be at the easy setting too. :)

Hi all,

I gotta say, Since seeing a Zenesis at Vape Bash It has been the #1 thing I've wanted to try. I was lucky enough to order a Standard and a BAM on the same day. Reading this thread for the past month and a half has only fueled my desire for it. I've had high hopes reading all the praise everyone here has for the Zenesis but to tell the truth I've had low exceptions due to my failed attempts with other rebuildable genesis type mods. More then anything I wanted the Zenesis to work but I just knew it would let me down. I got my first Zen standard yesterday and my 2nd standard today. After a day with it all I can say is I was wrong. They both are working just as well as everyone here has described. The used one I got yesterday needed to have a wick put in it and a coil made for it. It took me less then 5 min for me to get it up and running. The first half tank of juice had a bit of a metal taste but that went away. The new one from Zen that came today only tasted funny for the first few hits and now both are vaping better then I had dreamed they could. For me the only down side is the bottom button. I have never liked PV's with bottom buttons. I am working through it and I'm sure the bottom button thing will grow on me. I know for sure I want to get some of the Z-atty's (P and U) so I can enjoy a Zen with a side button PV.:)
Thats awesome news. Tomorrow is my day although I am not sure since the battery's and charger where suppose to be here today and where not. My local postal service must not be very efficient. I wanted to charge the battery's for my home made job but no luck. But it says a lot about our Z PV's, that you like it so much, and have tried many like to with disappointment. Actually that rocks. Its amazing. Awesome. And any other nice word in the English dictionary. I have high hope that I finally am on the road I want to be on. I am so stoked.

hey zen,
do you have a recommended grade of sandpaper? does it matter much? I have some 1500 and am wondering if that is too fine?

1500 will work... I prefer 500, but really, anything will do.

Can somebody please post a pic of the posts and post-assembly ring (thing below top cap) for me?

What's a post assembly ring?

Hi all. :)

I traded one of my Provari's and 2 Lava tanks for the Zen Standard that was in the classifieds. It showed up today. The guy gave me what was left of the wicks that came with it from Zen. I put a 325 mesh wick and made a 5 turn coil for it. I filled it with AVE Hype 10% PG 90% VG and put in a fresh AW IMR 18650 2000 mah battery. I've now been through 1/2 of the tank of juice. It seems to be wicking fine and the flavor is getting better with every draw. My pinkie is getting fatigued from the button. This button takes more force to push then any other bottom button mod I've owned. I read that you can change the tension of the button. I took mine apart to do so and found their are only 2 thick magnets in the switch not 3. The button also has to travel a lot to make contact with the bottom of the battery to fire the coil. Is there an upgrade to make the button more adjustable so I can have less travel and force to operate it? Does anyone else have this type of 2 magnet switch or is this something the guy I got it off of did?

Tracking says that my new Standard from Zen will be here tomorrow. I will look to see what is different with the switch on it.

Thanks, Fran

You have a febbie switch...

Yes it was, thank you. Is it just me, or do the ends of the wire look alarming far from the posts to the wick?

Pretend you know nothing about mesh/coil attys... it will help... everything that you have come to understand about the eastern European versions does not apply.

How can I tell if I have a "febbie" button?

You have one!

So it's not an issue because the loose wire sits so far below the airflow hole? But even so, wouldn't performance vastly improve if as much of the wire touched the wick as possible?

Nope, trust me! There's a whole different thing happening here than you're used to.

That sux man, time to get a dog

And a pickup truck... and a guitar... YOU'LL BE RICH!

Bumpi, you know what they say. The best way to rid yourself of temptation is to yield to it. Pics or it didn't happen. :D

AND... I don't like the "Pics or it didn't happen" mentality... It's rude to say it, because it's calling people a liar until they prove something. How's about NEVER saying that in this thread again... ummmm-kay?

bring on the stainless, oh Zen, our master... your disciples have overcome the power of fused quartz again!!!!!!!!!!!

Coming soon...

im still having wicking problems, and lots of dry hits. It just doesnt seem to get enough juice up on the coils. I am still rolling with the first coil setup that Zen sent with my Standard, so it cant be user error IMO.

the vapor is thin unless i have the entire tank filled up and i hold it just right

my coils burn evenly, ive read i think all the info on here about it (and a few PMs)

When it hits, its fantastic, without a doubt, which is why i want to get it going!

suggestions welcomed

Suggestion to pop in a new wick and coil... you have to learn eventually!

Exactly. Gravity is your friend :)

Well... not always... you never met my ex-wife.

Grats...but does this mean there are minis ready for shipping?
I have to admit i am a bit confused here ...:?:i have been waiting for mine sense April 13th!

Why would sending NIN a standard equate to having minis ready to ship?

Yes i was online when the AYS made there run...and i am also aware of the sea story...lol...but for me i had ordered a standard on the 13th of April when Zen released 5...then i sent a request to Zen asking to change the standard to a mini because that's what i really wanted to buy...Zen of course had NP with that and informed me when they were available i was good to go...that's why i am asking if they are available for shipping...did i get forgotten?

Ummm... relax... you're not forgotten.

I don't even bother measuring the wick, just hack off a piece that looks about right and go from there!

Thats the way I make them for myself... the ones that ship are measured.

Does anyone know once Zen~ get's his commerce working, if there will be a way for those of us without credit cards to pay?
Is there anyway to pay via email money transfer? Or would he wait for the money order to come in the mail?

If you don't have a credit card, go get a prepaid gift card at pretty much any convenience store!

Can anybody confirm if Kcos's site is back up and running as yet as I'm still having trouble getting on?

Thanks in advance.

It's running... it's UGLY, but it's running

Wooo! Congrats Fran! Cant wait till my Ti standard arrives...

You're not going to wait too much longer! I have IN MY HANDS the final finish samples... and I approved the run. I will post a picture tonight!

SO MANY PEOPLE use mint instead of real menthol crystals... ALL of the Zens Private Stash menthol juices have real, honest to goodness HIGH GRADE FRESH Menthol Crystals... and LOTS OF THEM!

I feel it, do you feel it? I feel a multiple quote post coming in, Zen are you out there? :)

I wouldn't think of it! I will refrain from it, just because you expect it...

Oh wait a minute...

Too late!

I just phoned my credit union and have a reloadable Vancity Enviro Visa on it's way. Sucks though cause it will take up to 2 weeks to get here. I really hope the Z Atty Pro does not go up for sale before I get my card. If it does can I send a money order to you for it? Or do you have any way to accept an online email money transfer? Thanks, Kathy

EDIT: I think this is the best card for me as it means there cant be any impulse purchases. You have to transfer the money to the card then you can make your purchase. This can take up to 3 days.
