Sad but true. I have the means to do this, but do not. I order what I want for myself, my wife and some friends(sometimes). I have had the opportunity to sell things for much more than I paid, but I ALWAYS sell them for what I paid and consider that I made profit from getting to use that device for some time with no depreciation.
I have a handful of mods that will never go anywhere for any price because they are priceless to me and if I were to sell them it would be at cost even if the perceived value were $1000 more than I paid. It's a point of personal accountability for me.
Some disagree and feel they need to make profit if there is profit to make. To them I say go and make your own devices, market them and sell them for profit. If you do not have the ability to do this then you should not buy and sell other's work for profit.
Of course there are exceptions and I would be a fool to believe otherwise. The Zenesis is NOT one of those exceptions and if you need an explanation for why there some 20000+ posts you need to read through before considering joining the community here.
I do not condemn the actions of others because it is not my place to do so. The above is just my perception of how things should be. Some will agree, others will not. This is what separates me and the others who feel the same from the rest and what I believe makes the Zenfidel community as a whole one of the best in all of vaping.
Yeah it is a shame but people do profiteer all the time especially where the consumer has no choice. I dont engage in this practice only because:
A.) I am late to the game on everything.
B.) I indebt myself plenty far enough without gambling on what goes out of stock next
C.) I am lousy at negotiating anything, especially when I know the value
D.) I feel shame in raping people
E.) Because .... OOOOOoOOOOoOOOoooOOhh shiney.....
My post was the result of working too long and missing to much and posting too much on the possibility that we may be crucifying someone for selling when desperate times called for desperate measure.

I wish I had more time to keep,up with all of the things that go on in here. I am proud to be a member of this community, as absent as I seem to be ALOT of the time, I am usually reading and just trying to catch up. Most of what Aimwould normally say has been said by someone else before I get the chance and I would hate to clutter the thread with redundant posts.

I just LOVE the fact you want to donate your Mayoral salary and all political donations to the school system. You have my vote!
I take it Portland makes you separate your cans, glass, plastic and paper recycling? THAT is a pain in the behind. We use to have to do that, but now everything goes in one HUGE bin and they separate it all at the recycling center. It's so much easier.

Well its as dumb as the provari with the textured finish selling for twice its normal value. People think because they have something a bit unique that it must be worth more. I am going to go buy a popular high end mod and then change the color of the led, send it off to be sandblasted then textured then I am going to acid etch the chrome with the number 0001 on it to see how much it fetches. Poor saps.
I wonder if people ever stop to consider that there are fakes and forgeries of century old items. what would stop someone from laser engraving or acid etching metal.

While yes, I do think that my zenesis is priceless; I would never sell it for more then I payed. I know I would not sell the case with it, it's just two useful, so I would even knock about $50 off the price. I might even throw in a bottle of pluid.
This is not the place for this discussion but its what its valued at by other people, history is history to some, that sets the price and the maker is fine with it......
Seriously, I own three mods from a modder who refuses to be on ECF, she asks the same and we all respect her wishes if any of us wish to sell one of her creations, if that's what the modder asks we should all respect it.......

I think we all wish u were here more. It's not that your absent its that your usually posting in 4 or 5 threads. Holding peoples hands and walking them thruwhatever problems they are experiencing. My katanas performance I owe to u n mac. I see why people threw their hands up because the problems were production and some applied and some didn't. It was hit or miss whether your worked good out the box. I was semi lucky. Only needed a few tweaks but your posts are always welcome whatever forum or thread u happen to be in. Thanks brother!

Understand that I am a 55 yr old man with a 27 yr old fiancé. And I couldn't wait to leave her place and come home to show you what a fellow Zenfidel did to my banner. His gift to me and i freakin love it!

ob, you seem wise and thoughtful, caring and intelligent -- why would you run for public office?!?!? Of course, that said, I'm VP of the local school board, you have to put your money where your mouth is and damn the slings and arrows......
