Yep, I had one, a nice V3 -- until 3 hours ago, the zenisis felt better to me and was easier to use IMHO and when I'm not going to use something, out it goes!!!
I THINK Len Warren tried that and said it didn't work well.
Doesn't the coil burn the cotton? I'm not sure I would want to inhale cotton fumes. Heaven knows what that cotton has been treated with.
I wouldn't use cotton simply because an "organic" material is more likely to contain carcinogens and allergens either inherently, or from processing or from environment pollutants.

In fact the OP there is an SS hater, but I read that whole thread and he couldn't come up with one single valid reason for that
(The proposition that heat dissipation lowers efficiency has merit, but [1] the vaporizing liquid absorbs the rather small amount of heat it requires very fast, at least as fast as the SS dissipates it, [2] the SS wick does NOT conduce heat fast within it's body - I know, I was holding it by hand over the lighter for 3 minutes and [3] the rapid cooling is an advantage in fact - it avoinds overheating, juice burning, etc.)

Well... it was there... and I remembered the "Just Vape It" mentality... so I didn't think about it... I figured... "Just eat It"... so I did... bad idea. I think I may have discovered that twinkies, while needing SOME steeping... do not require THAT MUCH steeping... it was foul. And kinda rubbery... much rubberier than a stock, unmodified twinkie... very VERY upsetting actually.
Survival is a relative term... it didn't end my life... yet.
I KNOW... it was REALLY hard.
