question about changing wicks and coils.

do most of you change the coils when the flavor drops or the wick? does one effect the flavor more than the other?

thanks.

If the coil doesn't pop, I don't change it, and if the wick looks viable, I don't change it either. Because I'm using 2 Zens, I don't pop a coil very often. I think I changed the coil on the Mini last week and that coil was at least a month old and I don't even remember the last time I changed the coil on the Standard and both wicks are months old.........I have never really noticed a change in flavor or performance on either APV..........maybe I'm not as discriminating as other vapers...........If my APV works, I vape it. If it quits, I change the coil...........

I had Griffen at Serenity Gear Make me a holster for my mini and standard. They are awesome and work really well.He has them for sale for $39 SerenityGear Leather - Specials Scroll to the bottom of the page. You can also customise it as well.
Hey guys, I use a cheap 2 pocket pen/phone leather wrapped desk caddie. I bought it at walmart for $3.00. I liked it so much I went back a bought 4 more. Now I have one in all the places where I would normally set my PV down. The cell side of the holder is angled so the pv leans towards the back. The other pocket is big enough to hold 2 30ml bottles of juice and a couple of atties or cartos. Total size is 6" wide by 3" deep by 4" high in the back and 3 3/4" high in the front. Not sure if they carry it anymore but something like that could be found in an office supply store as well.

That's a pretty slick little holster Island, Griffen did a great job on it!

night time for me, enjoy the ride!!!

Q: How many Zen buddhists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Three - one to change it, one to not-change it and one to both change-and not-change it.

or...

Q: how many Zenfidels does it take to change a light bulb
A: two... one to change the light bulb and one to get an answer from Zen about why the filament wasn't the best choice at that voltage....

That is a nice looking holster. I love the dragon on it. Do you have (or can you take) a photo, so that we can see what it looks like with a Zenesis strapped into it?

I wouldn't mind seeing a leather sleeve that somehow lets you use the Zenesis while in the sleeve (without it falling out). If it could have a small pocket clip attached to it, that would be even better!

edit: Now that I think about it, what I described above sounds a lot like the working man's Zenesis that Zen~ said he was going to make.

I use my 'MODified' "Brite Strike BTL Quick Cam Roto-Loc Articulating Tactical Holster for Basic Tactical Lights", it does the same thing even if it's awfully wordy! :vapor:

When I leave, it clips on easily to my belt or loop, I can set it to any angle I want on the fly, when I want a quick toot I just unlock the cam and release the Mini and snap it back into the cam lock when I'm done and push the lever to lock in place. When I arrive at my 'chill' destination, I detach it from my person, and can use it as a 'mobile kickstand' by adjusting the holster to position the Zenesis at an angle if my juice tank is full or set the holster to horizontal mode when the tank is almost empty. I can also tweak it for my Ti Standard to lengthen it so it will accomodate it when it gets here.

I invested a solid 20 hours hunting this down and comparing it to similar gear....I was victorious in my pursuit.

Biggest plus for me is that I never need to unscrew the battery cap to ensure that my mini can't fire because the mini is locked in place, hovering over the base, and that my friends is...wait for it... PRICELESS! I can quick hit this bad boy whenever I want with no futzin and can do this blind in a movie theater by just my sense of touch!

THE POSSIBILITIES ARE LIMITLESS! (Corrected: limitedless is not the right word!)

The above is exactly like what I have but I do not have an emblem on the front like this one. I have one in almost every room. I was forgetting in the weirdest places in my house. Now I have one in almost every room. When I have to put it down, I aim for the caddy and when I forget where I put it I just go room to room looking in all the caddies until I find it. Loosing your memory sucks!!!! I really like all the holsters and love the wooden caddy but they are a little out of my price range right now.:(

This is what I'm waiting for. The ones that are out now, you have to take your Zenesis out to use it. I have holsters and sleeves for my Provari's and SB, and I can use them while they're still in the holster.

question about changing wicks and coils.

do most of you change the coils when the flavor drops or the wick? does one effect the flavor more than the other?

thanks.

OB, after I got my Standard dialed in I left the same wick in it for until about a week ago. That's over 2 months. I didn't mess with the wick until I started getting dry burns again on a recurring basis. I did field strip my standard and run it under hot water and dry burn it a couple of times during the 2+ months I was on the same wick

I change coils every 10 days to 2 weeks. I do it when I notice a drop in vapor production and flavor--it's more like the battery is running out of charge even when I use a fresh batt--if that makes any sense.

+1. These things are gorgeous. I ordered as well, they look well worth the price and I've been in need of a good stand for far too long. :)

Well, even if it doesn't make sense to him, it makes sense to me!! Thought my batts were dying a premature death - thanks again Mr. White!!

that is great advice.

I did change out the wick before I saw your post. The whole thing took about 6 minutes. Now at least I will have a idea of what happens flavorwise when I change one out. I kept the old one just in case. I think the coil is what I should change more often.

thanks again!
