that is great advice.

I did change out the wick before I saw your post. The whole thing took about 6 minutes. Now at least I will have a idea of what happens flavorwise when I change one out. I kept the old one just in case. I think the coil is what I should change more often.

thanks again!

No problem. I'm a Febber, so I'm not really one of the Gen Gurus, but between reading up on the Gen atties, asking folks who have used them and my own experience, I try to offer some basic advice when I can.

You'll have to change wicks at some point, so no harm done.

I can't recall the exact length of time, but somewhere in these nearly 25,000 posts, I do believe Zen~ said he once used the same wick for something like 5 MONTHS--give or take. I was happy to get 2 months out of mine. It had seen some abuse because I struggled to get it to fit when I first changed it out, so I was surprised it lasted as long as it did.

The coil will wear much sooner than the wick. It's taking current every time we push the button. It's easy to wrap a new one now that I got the hang of it, so I just change it out every now and again.

It takes me a lot less time wrap a coil that than to punch cartos and put them in a tank for my Lavatube, which is why my LT has been relegated to redundant back up status. That thing hasn't seen the light of day in 2 months.

morning everyone.

I am curious how many use the adjustable TH feature? Also, if so, where do you position the hole to get the best flavor? I find that if I move it even a little, it gets too strong for me.

Now that I watched zens interview, I am curious if there are spots that work best with how the airflow works inside the device.

i've been varying my positon in order to find my sweet spot. i've found that i am "almost" over the wick. i haven't noticed much difference left side or right. if anything it's very subtle. i'm usually between the wick and the negative post. as always, YMMV....

My mini never actually touches the base, the camlock holds it in place in the middle very tightly and I keep the lever down in the locked position when I'm walking around.

I used a combination of felt/rubber hardwood floor furniture protectors to tighten up the grip of the camlock because the diameter of the mini is not wide enough to be help in place .

I wanted to get a mod sleeve made for it to add the thickness I needed, but Serenity Leathers didn't want to do it because I wanted the button still able to be usable and unencumbered while in the mod sleeve. The reason for this is twofold. #1 I am lazy, I know this and accept it. #2 Removing it from the sleeve repeatedly invite dirts and abrasive things to get into the sleeve or on the PV which eventually would scratch the finish of the device. This would be self-defeating.
I got shot down by 4 places for various reasons so I simply found this holster and tweeked it.

If I understood Korean I would love to have this Wizard at LCGGEAR make me something custom in Kydex because his work is pure awesomeness, but he is in South Korea and I'm not sure getting through the language barrier would be very easy.

If anyone knows someone (NOT ON ECF, ALREADY BEEN SHOT DOWN 3 TIMES) who actually does custom work in leather or preferably Kydex than I would like to have a form fitted mod sleeve made to protect the Zenesis, but it has to accomodate the bottom button and allow it to be usable & removable to replace batteries without having to remove it from the sleeve this would be ideal.

Hrm... Considering my conversational Korean is pretty fluent (I still google some words), I might be able to call over there and see if they'll be willing to do custom work.

Don't quote me on this but we might need to buy several to make it worth the man's time. >.<;;

Sounds awesome, as long as you don't find gravel on the twisties~

Gravel is irrelevant
