Good morning everyone!!! Wow I have a lot of homework today and I have to work for 4 hours :( But I will try to keep up LOL.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend and I know I told everyone I got a happy email well my happy email turned into a happy notification that my AYS will be here tomorrow. Do I trust the mail service NO but one can hope they aren't lying LOL

NY to TX via Priority Mail? Two (mail) days; no worries - you should have your AYS tomorrow no problem! :)

G'Morning (or evening, depending on where you are) everyone! Just picked up the youngest kid from his mid-shift job (he NEEDS a license... but has massive test anxiety every time we take him to the DMV; he drives just fine otherwise); I should really go back to bed... but this forum just drags me in!

Earlier today, I loaded a tank of Zen's Raspberry Bacco into my my Ti. It was amazing... 30 minutes ago I finished the 'Bacco and loaded a half tank of Zen's Berry Menthol. I gave that sweet beautiful Ti a tip and put the black aluminum Mawn Ridgemont to my lips. With giddy anticipation I mashed the GO button with my pinky and... I was completely unprepared for what would happen next.

In one gulp, I inhaled a blizzard. I'm not joking. On the first draw, a berry flavored huge azz winter storm swooped out of that Zenesis and had a dance party in my lungs. My sweet wife was engaged in watching TV and missed the shocked look on my face. I took a moment, collected myself a bit, and calmly asked the wife if she would like to try a new flavor.

"What is it?" she asked. I gave her my stock answer- "See if you can figure it out" I said grinning. "I'll give you a clue. It's curiously strong." (I added the last part, lest she hit me in the head with the Ti for not warning her.) She took a cautious draw, but it was no help. This stuff is serious business. It was delightful watching her face light up in pure awe as the winter storm did it's work. Good times, good times.

I hear ya Bro!
I have been looking for a real strong menthol for a wile , some one here said Zen's "real menthol" juice would fit the bill.
WOW , the best way to describe it is like a nuclear bomb made of ice and mint going off in your lungs. crazy strong. I occasionally switch back to a more mild mentol but not for long (like 5 minutes:)), spoiled on the flavor of "real menthol". I am still zen-less so im vaping a carto tank i can only imagine how intense the flavor must be in a zen.

try the black ice if you like anice. Great after dinner vape!

enjoy your new toy!

THAT study was so IMPRESSIVE! Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos needs to take that before Congress! As usual, the FDA was less than honest about studies they did and the FDA chart below proves it. Instead of showing the results of their study comparing cigarettes to ecigs, they just stated that they found toxins in ecigs. LOOK AT THE CHART! MINUTE levels of toxins were found in ecigs (and much of that is probably from non-controlled manufacturing and outside substances and NOT the PG, VG and flavors) compared to the MASSIVE amount of toxins in cigarette, yet they are still trying to outlaw ecigs. IMO, this just tells us all where their loyalties lie and it's NOT in the health of the citizens of this country. The doctor states it's UNETHICAL to ban ecigs. I couldn't agree more!

If you have a spare 3 hours, you should watch this video.

Look at these screen shots from the doctor's Powerpoint Presentaion:

I wish I had the time -- hard to believe the FDA is lying....LOL

There we go!

Dude, I posted that days ago -- have I offended you? :(

Gotta just say that I am pretty Psyched!!! Any advice for a new family member? Not life advice but practical Zennesis care and feeding advice :)

Thanks,

Chris

Is it because I am not as gentle on my mods that you have turned to others on care?!?!?! Ooooh, woe is me!!!

Okay, a quick bump here for all the new Zenesis owners looking for some reference.

Just like vic's tank fix, this should be posted every 500 posts or so...:thumb:

Wow! Only 12 pages or so to catch up on since 3pm. Nice and easy for a change! Hope you all had a good night.

No release so its only a huge amont of posts, not gargantuan to peruse -- whew!!! :D

I have to make a shortcut for that.....

before stumbling upon the Zenesis (and being literally blown away), I was in the market for a odysseus for my GG. I know Zen talks about how the Zenesis has just the Kanthal wire and SS mesh, making the flavor truly honest (and I don't doubt him, it makes sense). Being that I don't own, nor tried, any hybrid attys whatsoever, can anyone chime in to elaborate on the difference the Zenesis makes over their other repairable attys that may use ceramic or silica for wicking?

Here's some newbie to newbie (the blind leading the blind?) talk, so don't be harsh.

I have no Gen atty, but I've done a lot of research and here's what I found:

- There is a lot to be concerned with silica based wick materials - much less than with smoking, of coourse, but they do release particulates, which is scary; some people have photographed the vapor "condensate" and it has these silica particles in it. The trouble is that long term exposure to these can potentially cause lung disease, which then would be the irreversible kind... With SS mesh, there is a low chance of particulates or released chemicals - when wet it doesn't get hot enough to affect the metallic material; one has to make sure the mesh is cleaned of any manufacturing residues (it can smell like oils, and that disappears completely after 5 minutes of boiling in my experience). Others suggest "organic" fibers for wicking materials - my take is that anything organic has complex organic molecules that end up releasing carcinogens and also are liable to be imbued with chemicals from industrial processing (and like any organic matter, is liable to be allergenic)

- The flavor with SS mesh is far superior. I tried it on a Frankensteined Vivi Nova and it is definitely so. It takes a while before it kicks in, and that's most lilkely due to the bare Kanthal wire, but when it does - it's really, really amazing

- The Genesis-style atties are generally simpler to rebuild and maintain. Look at an Oddy for instance - it reminds me of those exploded holograms of the Stark reactor in Iron Man :) Most Gennies out there are a tank, two screws and two holes.

- The Gennies (and all rebuildables really) give you the ability to vary the resistance of your coil by the number of wraps; they also are usually a fairly low resistance device requiring lower voltages for good power levels. The Gennies specifically perform much better at lower power than other atomizers in terms of vapor production.

- Hybrid APVs basically have an inbuilt rebuildable atomizer (which may be removable in some cases, but the point is there are no 510 or whatnot connectors). The "connectors" are really just a sad legacy from the "e-cigarette" form factor. There is no need to cram positive and negative together in the tiniest space, and to have an extra small piece and a failure point between your battery and atomizer when you have all the space provided by the fat batt APVs.

- The Zenesis, according to everyone you ask, are robustly buit, high quality APVs, designed with attention to details. The Zenesis atomizers differ from the other Gennies out there by an innovative airflow design that is said to maximize vapor production and throat hit. Even if it doesn't look that way at first, compared to other hybrid APVs or Genesis style atties, the Zeneses strike a better match between availability, quality and price: others are either or all of hellishly hard to get, very expensive and have built quality and quality control issues. No one all the way in Eastern Europe or whatnot can beat this sleepless and ever present Zen~ from Rochester and his ultimate customer support...

Oops - as always I get carried away. Bye now :)

The anticipation is killing me. Zen I can not thank you enough. I am eternally grateful.

Is there anything you all would recommend I get in preparation? Obviously I know batteries, but do i need to buy one of those mini torches or bunson burners to oxidize the wicks? Also how much wire and mesh comes included. How long will what is included last me? Should I have any kind of polish to keep it beautiful? I am very particular about keeping my PV's in prestine condition. Also do you recommend getiing an extra tank when I pay for the Zen? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Should I get a tight draw cap too? Sorry for all the questions I just want to make sure i an totally prepared. I can not tell you how exited I am.

I was wondering about the extra tank thing myself...does anybody know what the tank is made out of yet? I think I read someone saying that the wicks can last up to a month and with 6 of each 325 and 400, I think your all set! Juice and batteries is all you'll need at first..I got a torch, Kanthal and some mesh because I want to try making them myself and for backup also.

I love Zen's Teaberry...should call it Zeaberry!!! It's like a wintergreen/menthol altoid...I love menthol juice, as I smoked menthol cigs. I mix it with Bombays RYU and its very tasty! I will have to try some of the others...I make my own menthol with menthol crystals and add to whatever, to get my desired strength!

I'm currently using stardusts on my eGo, I like the convenience of the tank but after a while (less than 2 ml's) of use my juice gets a lot darker and thicker than it was when I added it and the flavor goes way downhill. Can anyone tell me if this happens in the Zenesis too? I'm assuming it's from the heat of the atty running down the center. Does the center post on the Zenesis heat up?

Thanks in advance :)

And this for all Zenfidel ..

I saw three ships a-sailing in from across the sea
Strangers ne'er were welcome but for curiosity
But come they did and when they did ready they did stand
And things would never be the same in our Village on the Sand...

When the ships pulled in to dock the villagers did hide
When trouble came it usually was brought upon the tide
When the pirates disembarked they were making plans
And from then on things were not the same in our Village on the Sand...

The smugglers came into our town and many sought to run
I stood my ground bravely and came face to face with one
Time and travel on the seas weathered face and hand
He was different than the others in my Village on the Sand...

He told me of the years he'd spent on the stormy seas
Then he spoke a poet's words of philosophy
And when he had to leave again he asked me for my hand
And I knew I'd never see again my Village on the Sand...

I'm still in a bit of amazement about it... Ever had a really strong mint like an Altoid? If you've ever chewed on one, you feel like you are exhaling mint for a couple minutes. Like a really cool sensation on your throat whenever you exhale. This stuff is just like that. Your throat feels really cool for almost a minute after a puff. Especially on your first few! Wow.

Great Description!

you are a much more gooder righter and describer of stuff than i is.
damn public skool systum.

I keep seeing this and I want to say something. I don't think that you need to own a Zenesis to be a true Zenfidel. Nah, having the device is just the icing. I consider it more of a mindset. If you participate in this community, you play nice, you give more than you receive and in general are good person then I think you are a Zenfidel in spirit.

I guess I say it more for those that are here and have not yet gotten one. You shouldn't feel left out. Nobody should feel excluded and everybody should feel welcome and embraced. Karla, and all the rest of you that I see here all the time helping, inquiring and supporting, have always been Zenfidels in my mind.

And with that, I'm going to go have more coffee. Enjoy your day everyone.

you are correct... "Zenfidel" is a state of mind and a code of conduct. it's all about the quest for the best vaping experience. if you can share knowledge or help someone else get there.... you are Zenfidel!
