Yeah, I read that too. And checked it. I think somehow it is firing unattended, though. The last tank went black before it was gone. No shorts that I can see though.

I've been having the same issue with the button getting warm. No obvious shorts (coil, wick touching center post in tank, bottom of tank, cap, or screw). My liquid also getting noticeably darker. Not black, but more of an deep amber red.

Yes and something else that I can't quite figure out yet

It definitely smells like black licorice but to me doesn't taste like black licorice. It does have something else going on but dang if I can figure it out, given up actually and just enjoy the taste. :D

K-Man, does it or has it make/made your tongue tingle or is that just me.

It's mostly anise (similar to black licorice), and I think it has some lemon undertones in there too but it's hard to tell with the strong anise. It's good. I've been getting such weak flavor out of mine that it's nice to have a strong juice every few tanks.

Weak flavor!!! Oh no, no, no... That just will not do!

Time to clean the wick. It's not that hard. Hold the Zenesis straight up and press the button till the wick and mesh are glowing red. While the button is still pressed, run it under cold water for a second, dry and repeat. Dry again, re-wet the wick with juice and your flavor should be good as new :)

will say I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of communication. And before anyone jumps down my throat for saying that, think about the vendors you've probably written off for the same behavior. I know he's a one man show but maybe that is part of the problem. Maybe it's time for him to hire someone to handle correspondence and office issues.

Maybe it's time for YOU to think of somebody other than yourself!

When I have repeatedly BEGGED people to not send me requests for availability information for these things, I am under absolutely NO obligation to respond. Most vendors that get written off for the same "behavior" aren't dealing with this sort of stuff... with 400-750 PMs and emails a day... I don't answer more than about 10% of them because the answers are available in the usual places, like the Zen Alerts thread...

So You got to me through Kcos... and before anybody else thinks that's the clever way to get my attention, it's a bad idea. If people start pumping her for information I'll remove you from the list.

And while we're on the subject of disappointment... ya know what disappoints me?

When people post negativity about my behavior when they can't even keep track of which list they are on.

You are on the APRIL list, and the notifications have not gone out for that yet.

I spent the entire weekend building, with a couple hours out to visit my dad on fathers day. Yesterday and today I shipped just over 100 packages.

I cannot POSSIBLY do the the next notifications until I get caught up.
So that's my answer regarding my "behavior"... what's your excuse?

I will now return to packing and shipping while you all enjoy your evenings.

Your tank went black, that is a sure sign that something is not working right. If the wick is not touching the bottom of the tank then the switch, contact points and/or threads are dirty. I have seen this most often as a wick touching the bottom of the tank thing, but if that is not it then it can only be a weak connection somewhere not allowing the coil to get hot enough. Consequently, this also put a much larger strain on the battery and seriously affects battery life.

There is ONE other possibility and that is that the batteries are weak and not taking a full charge anymore. This will also cause all of your symptoms.
