I have both. My ZAP arrived last Friday and I have been using it almost exclusively since then. However, I think that's mostly due to it's being new. I don't find any difference in performance between the Mini, the Standard, and the ZAP. Normally, it's just whichever one happens to be closer. The bottom button is not a problem once you get used to it. I do find myself trying to work the ZAP by pushing on the bottom.........All the tops are exactly alike, and perform exactly alike.......the bottom part is just a tube holding the battery..........and the number of coil wraps provide the ability to get the vape you prefer regardless of which tube you're using.......The only difference to me is a mechanical APV vs an electronic APV and for me, a mechanical APV is best and more worry free than electronics which may become iffy with age........

Thanks for the input Im sure a lot of people here were wondering how the VV tube would compare to the All in one.

I agree with the reliability of the of a Mechanical unit. I just felt more comfortable with a more sensitive switch so I adjusted the magnets to 1 big and 1 small but its a bit shaky when I set it down and it gets me paranoid.

I just read this post while backtracking & I wanna come outta the closet & say -- I'm the other fortunate newb that was honored by K-man's noble deed  I'm at a lost for words except -- TY Zen master for starting this great journey & TY to all those that saw the light & decided to join in on this wonderful experience, TY to all the veteran Zenfidels for all the love & support, TY K-man for letting me experience the Zen virtues 1st hand :) as K-man puts it -- "...it's NOT only about the device, it's MORE about the people..."

So stinkin' happy for ya!!!! ;)

Evening everyone.

Sorry I have not been here today. I've had what I think is a adult ear infection for the last couple of weeks.

Well today the dizziness was making me nauseous.

Hope your well.

Mike, good to see you.

ob, I hope you get well soon...maybe it's those glow in the dark o-rings!! Bwahaha
BTW I received mine today, Thanks man! The return address;

Hey Zenfinites!

So it would seem I'm single now. Well, since the sacred day of Father's Day.

I spend all day with her and the little one, having a great day. The little one goes to bed and we "have to talk". Wasn't much of a talk really. More of a "I'm leaving". LOL

If I only had an atty or carto, I'd ... kill someone at this point! But, I've got my 3 Zenesii. I'm good. :D

Take care everyone!

Thats just not cool bud!!! Just remember to reach out to the ones around you, Don't do what I did..which was drink myself in to a coma..urmm for 2 years, and remember someone always is worse off!! Plus You have a daughter..and she IS more important!

The funny thing, to me, about all this hoopla is that I will STILL send UncleDagger his notification when they are ready, so if cooler heads prevail, he can still get the atty he was hoping to get. At that point it will be up to him, and I will have fulfilled my ONLY obligation to him... To deliver the device just as soon as I possibly can, as promised at the onset.

CONTINUES TO AMAZE!!

My precious bundle made it from Rochester -> Nashua, NH in one day. Gee if they had just aimed more toward northern VT... well it would maybe have been lots closer :p I mean if I was having to travel from Rochester NY to Jericho VT (just south of Burlington) I would not even think to head on over to Nashua NH first. I know I know...

Nashua is a main hub...same happened to me when I ordered some juice from Vermont Vapor(Castleton-Nashua back up to Lebanon) Its only a 3 hour trip from Leb-Castleton!! lol

Hang on to it for a while and see if it grows on you.
I hated bottom buttons. Hated them.
But, I have small hands, and I think that combined with how I was pressing the button made for inconsistent firing.

What I eventually did, and it was posted on here, so credit to I don't remember who.....
Put the PV in your palm, rest your pinky finger under the button.
Wrap your fingers around it, make a fist and squeeze.

The "make a fist" makes a "natural" action of firing the button.
Worked for me every time. And... it was much easier to get used to rather than trying to "push" the button.

You'll eventually find yourself trying to fire other PVs from the bottom.

Im really loving the my mini but still not used to having a bottom button. I think ima put it up for a ZAP to test my luck. Any takers on here?

Or maybe I should wait till next week and test my luck on trying to get one so I have them both.....decisions....decisions

One things for certain Im not letting go of my Zen unless I got another another one one the way :D

How are the owners of both Z atty and mini compare them?

Yeah I know that because were looking to trade Zens for Zens and nothing else...:)

Its like trading vintage baseball cards their hard to find and when you consider trading its got to be mutual.

Yeah, yeah... I know. I just wish I had tripped over a Z Atty Pro, or a Zenesis Standard.

Woooow, some crazy people out there!! Leave Mike alone....answers can be found here without ranting! He MUST be an extremely extremely oh wait did I say extremely busy INDIVIDUAL! Try to keep up with ummm hmmm A life couple jobs...you get the point I am sure...or wait some couldn't discover water if they were drinking it! I have been tempted myself to PM him but have resisted because I have thought what would it be like to be in his shoes? We all have issues of our own, some just more prevalent than others at this point in our lives! For those going through hard times my heart goes out to ya! As my wifes says "Keep ur nogs up!" ...I love this thread because it's generally a place filled with great people...the negativity needs to go else where... urmm ok I'm done...

If my hair line recedes any more I am going to look like a shorter, stouter, Zen~.

That's Tim's receding hairline in the photo.. I don't remember your hairline being further back that normal.. another thing overwhelmed by your strength of presence I guess. There are a lot of us that like bald guys anyway.. dunno why guys make such a big deal out of it. I have three favored hair styles on guys.. all bald, half bald pulled back into a pony tail, or short spiky dreads.

I PM'd him once. He ignored me... Then I discovered this thread. Now I know why! Like I said, "Learn the culture..."

Keep ignoring my PM's, please, Zen~. Not that you'll get anymore. Just keep making those awesome APV's.

AND, take some time to have a life! Yeah, that's it... Have a life instead of answering PM's! You probably get hundreds per day!

Just wanted to throw this out there....

K-Man ROCKS!

Seriously... he's officially one of my favorite people and I've never set eyes on him.

Back to your regularly scheduled program.
Well if you set eyes on him now, he'd be blushing, and he don't blush. You also see him wearing a pink shirt in Rats honor :)

Well, as we said when I was kid, "you're just good people"
And nothing to blush over. Simple kindness is hard to come by these days. You should be proud you have an abundance of it.

So.... I'm freaking out a little.
Just to get off topic here....

The middle daughter, who in MY mind is a teeny baby, or at least a toddler making her "mean face" when someone had the nerve to give her regular jelly beans instead of "bean beans"......
has one more day of driving school.
(Never mind that in reality she now has an inch on me and is pushing 17.)

Driving school. psht.

Christ with a review mirror.
When did that happen?

It goes by too darn fast.

OH
OH, boy :(

The little miracle is here.

Now... how unlucky can I be?

Here's what happened. I put some PG in it and I fired it. All I noticed was that only the topmost coil was glowing. Then all of them started glowing, but before I could say anything it caught on fire. I depressed the button, but fire kept on going and it kinda smelled funky. I blew it out and I noticed that the insulator thing was the one that must have been burning, cause there was a melted collar around the base of the wick.

So now... what to do? It makes vapor but it only tipped downward and it leaks around the wick. And I'm weary about the melted thing there...

Help?... Help?...Help? help?

Foggy, I never set my Zens down on end. I always put them in some type of holder, cup, whatever. Laying down an APV of any type was just a habit that I broke myself of almost immediately upon receipt of the Zens. I do unscrew the button at night, but that's just because I'm paranoid.

All is not lost, elf. Go to the HOH website and order some more insulators. In the meantime, you can go to the hardware store and see if they have any teflon (PTFE) things with a shoulder that fit the hole to use for the moment. OR, follow Lorderos's tip, and cut off the tip of an ink pen tube to use in place of the insulator until your replacements come. He even told us which pen is a perfect fit. Check his Tips and Tricks thread or look at his last few posts to find which one because I don't remember. OR, third choice, if your wick is well oxidized, it won't create a short even though it's naked.

The flame has not hurt anything. Just blow it out and try vaping it again.

PS........If the insulator is melted into the wick, it might prevent it from wicking. If so, you will have to replace the wick and coil, but don't worry, you can do it. Just watch Zen's coil video a couple of times, use a medium paper clip inside the wick while you wrap the coil, and just do it......don't wrap the coil too tight or it will prevent wicking after it gets hot and shrinks. Just make sure the coil is mostly all touching the wick.

All over the place
For those that want to pm ~Zen, why not just post a question here. It apparent that he reads these posts, but people send him a pm? I think reading this thread would go a lot faster than having to read and respond to individual posts when he can do a full page of bulk responses here.:2c:

edit***But, if you ask a question, it is up to the recipient as to when and how they choose to reply. I always get a kick out of peolpe leaving me more than one voice mail. ;) So, I can't imagine, nor do I want to imagine what it must be like for him.
