I am curious.....since I started vaping and knowing there are no laws against doing it anywhere unless they post it at a store or personally ask you to not do it in their business, I have no hesitation of walking around where ever I may be and vape. I have never been asked to stop. I have patrons of stores ask what it is, I have workers of businesses ask about what "that is", and every time they already had an idea and want to know more about what I have because it doesn't look like any ecigs they have ever seen......so is this atypical of vapers with being so brazen on open vaping.....are most vapers timid about offending or being told they can't?

Just curious what you guys do or how you behave in public spaces.

I vape pretty much everywhere. I'm discreet only when I'm not in the mood to explain myself, or what "vaping" is. Otherwise...all out

you are in one of the few states that you can still use e-cigs freely. most states have put e-cigs into the same category as smoking in public places

I behave this way in GA (of course), TN, and FL. That's the only three states I've been in since I started vaping in May.

I try to be "polite" and ask first. Of course, the more "non-cigarette" the device looks, the easier it is to vape in public... I vape openly in a bar my friend 'tends at, and get lots of comments/questions - but no complaints (in CA we banned smoking in bars a decade or so ago; these days there's no smoking inside anywhere public). Otherwise, I join the smokers in the "smoking section" at work when I need to vape, and otherwise keep it outdoors. I got more hassle with the 510 than I do with the eGo-style devices.

There is a ban on "smoking" in all public space in those states (h3ll the whole country I think) but since this isn't smoking I never hesitate.....knowing CA they have probably already banned public space vaping too.

I am not getting involved other than to make a couple of points.

1) Yes, people should be straight forward, honest and have integrity, but that is not always the case.
2) I do not view this as a cult, but a place with friends that I like to hang out with that I genuinely care for.
3) Some people have loyalty to only one thing, others like a variety.

I love my zenesis, but also have a fondness for some other devices as well. I will continue to research others, while maintaining my excitement for what I have in these and future designs from zen (cough, cOBalt, cough :))

This industry is like the wild, wild west right now. There are so many advances and changes happening almost monthly and I for one am excited about it. Every time a new device comes out, it pushes others to forge ahead which I think is good for all involved. Look at the REO's for a example. Rob had a device that MANY loved. VV's became the thing. I think in many ways, it pushed him to advance his design. Does that mean there is still not a market for the REO's? No, it just means maybe he has some new customers now. Personally, I do not like cartos, yet there is still a huge market for those.

This is a case of different strokes for different folks. Do I wish everyone would be straight forward, honest and have a desire to talk things out? Yes, but life is not always like that. I have weekly meetings with my employees and BEG them to come talk to me if they have any issues or are unhappy. Yet, week after week, I hear from someone else that there is something that they are afraid to discuss with me. I have a very open door policy. I have never berated a employee, yet they still do not do it. I think this is human nature.

The key is living your life by your rules and how you see fit. Ultimately, we can only control ourselves and our actions.

edit. I guess that was a little more than a couple of points

brevity is not always my strong suit :)

OK, I must have missed something important for this to have just popped up out of nowhere, I have some catching up to do! :)
