Yeah...that's too tight, Ty. Stick a paperclip in the wick, if you can. That will support it while you wrap a slightly snug, but not tight coil.

If you need to, you can just unroll that wick and re-roll it around a paperclip.

I'm still behind... but honestly, what helps me, is to roll the mesh around something....
allen wrench, paperclip, needle, etc, and then wrap the wire around it.

My eyes aren't what they used to be, and I sometimes have a hard time getting the wire NOT too tight and/or even
if I try to wrap the wire ON the device.

It also helps me actually wrap the wire, but not SEE the wire, if I heat it up first with a lighter once or twice.
This does help me with the wrapping, but then it's a dark wire against a dark mesh and makes it harder to see.
Magnifying glasses are my friend.

My down and dirty Zen Holder. One glass votive holder, one leftover quilt block, one elastic hair band. I'm not a very frou frou person and the only reason it has a cloth cover is that I was afraid that the glass would scratch the Zens. I like this holder because it's small, doesn't take up a lot of room, and is not in the way.

It does, however, look like I should have made sure all the wax was off the holder before I took a pic....LOL........and ignore the piece of tape on the Standard. It's just protecting a rough spot on the top edge of the quartz tank that was there when I got it. I was in such a hurry to try the new switch that I just started vaping. I never have gotten around to putting on a new tank......course, the tape has only been there for 4 months, but since the tank is structurally sound I wasn't in any rush.........LOL

I like it. I like it alot.

I joined the ECF after I saw that Zen was doing Thursday nights. After watching things last night, I'm reminded of why I always keep photography as a hobby and do not try to make any money from it :) I once started selling some framed prints, and one customer complained about a *tiny* fray in the angled matte cutting. After that, I said no more, and it was back to a pure hobby...

I hope to either get a Zenesis Standard or a Van Silver Dog. Whichever comes up first is the one I will buy. I may add a z-atty-u though :)

I have always refused all money offers to make a quilt for someone because they want you to make just what they like and I only make what I like.......LOL......I also refuse to make a quilt to match a room's decor, even for family. I only make scrap quilts and when I give the quilts away, they can either use them, or not, as I've already gotten my enjoyment out of making it.........LOL

I still have a quilt my Grandmother made me when I was little little.
One of those "old Southern" quilts where rags were used for batting, and I believe it has the "ties" instead of the "usual" intricate stitching.

I've made a few in my time, but I had better luck using one piece for the top, one piece for the bottom.
Cutting on the lines, or even coloring within them was never my strong point. LOL
I LOVE quilts, and as such, don't "use" them so much as "have" them.
