welcome to the thread :) pull up a stool! and congrats on 2 years:toast:
Hi everyone. I've been following this and other hybrid threads for a while thought it was time to introduce myself. I’ve been on the list for a ZAP for a month or so and hope one day to own a Zenesis. My two year anniversary is next week, yaahh! I’ve come a long way from modding carts with blue foam and thermometer flicks.

When I took it out of the packaging, I noticed that the switch felt and sounded really gritty. I took the switch apart and cleaned it with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and that's when I noticed that it was not finished - it was pitted. I know that this is not normal because my wife's AYS is not like that - it's smooth like butter. Has anybody else had this problem? It sounds like I'm rubbing rough metal on metal and I don't want to damage it. I hope the picture helps my explanation

Mine sounds like that is the case too (I have not, however, disassembled anything at this point)... but it's SS vs. SS. I'd not worry about it; you aren't going to damage anything. Steel is much stronger than your fingers are. :)

My biggest issue so far is that my charged-3-weeks-ago batteries are not lasting more than a couple hours. OK, six hours. :)

But otherwise this thing blows away my "early generation" 510-based systems I have been using for the past 2.5 years.
I don't know if there's anything better, but I know what I have will last me at least another 2.5 years.... and what I've found here on this here forum is worth the time even if I didn't manage to get some new hardware from Zen. You guys are the best!!!
