Welp lost power at 7:45. Damnit.
Been flickering for hours. Gonna wait till tomorrow to fire up the generator. No need in wasting gas till we need it. Fridge and freezer should be good till the am. Hope everyone is good.

Power crews won't be able to begin repairs until the wind dies down enough to get their buckets safely aloft. (And flood water recede.)They're now saying the flooding could continue through the next high tide cycle as water keeps getting pushed into the NY, NJ and Long Island sound areas by high the easterly winds. I'm afraid it's going to get worse before it gets better.
Indeed... Worst possible timing for this storm to make landfall. Not that there's ever a "Good" time. As you said Tiff... Not only high tide, but the highest tide.
