Basicallly, it'll stop performing to what you're used to.

That said, I've kept a coil going for about 3 weeks until I decided to change it out.

I'll sometimes change it to try a different amount of wraps.

Bottom line.. use you're better judgement. That hardly lets you down.

I've just noticed that even on a halfway charged battery, the vapor production isn't what it used to be just a week ago. I guess I'll change it after my finals and see if it makes a marked difference. :]

HI Everybody,

I received my MINI #70 today and the quality of the APV is outstanding. I got it right before I had to go to work, went back inside grabbed the first e-juice I seen. I open the box it came in, didn't have time to admire. Grabbed the needle injected the juice right in to the MINI and out the door.

As I was driving I took the first hit, also I never checked if their were shorts or how many wraps. I just remembered shut up and vape. I have to say the flavor was a lot cleaner, more pure. I was vaping all day at work, making nice clouds.

I came home, I did something stupid, I messed with it. When I say messed with it, i mean moving around the wick and coils around to see if their were any shorts. Now for some reason it has a skunky taste to it. I know their is a simple solution to it. So i made my first youtube video, with my first time using my cellphone camera.

Can you guys help me out? or do you guys think it is the break in process?

I notice a few things. Some may be just the angle of the video though.

1. It looks like your wick is touching the positive post. This will cause a short and, therefore, nasty taste. I'm surprised you didn't pop a coil.
2. Your coil appears very tight. There's no reason for that. It will only serve to hurt the wicking of juice. The juice just may pool on the bottom coil and burn. And therefore, nasty taste.
3. Your coils are very unevenly spaced.
4. You're wick is deformed. Strive to get your wick straight, with the top being close to the positive (big) post.

Don't worry. This all comes in good time. You'll get used to it. It's not hard.

Don't make a new wick! Reuse what you have. Just make a new coil. You should have plenty of wire.

EDIT: The very first frame of your video shows a HUGE gap, on the bottom coil, between the negative post and the wick. I've found that this is no bueno. You want to get the current to the wick ASAP.

To me it looks like the bottom coil is shorting a bit and the middle coil need slipping up a little, the wick also appears a little kinked but that could be the angle. Also make sure the wick isn't touching the bottom of the tank or centre tube.

Halfway charged batteries usually put out less vapor. Try a fully charged battery.

They're even better a *little* bit discharged. Say 4.0-3.8
