The Panasonic will work in any mod the AW will, and out perform it too. The proof is in the tested charts Panasonic vs the AW

Yeah, go google the CGR18650CH-cell I´ve used it for almost a year now and never has it been sold or told by the Panasonic to be an IMR-cell before Callies, you and fellows like you. Go tell Hanna that his atties are made in China and tell it to Cisco too...

An imr is a specific chemistry... LiMn... There is no record of ANY LiMn battery causing any explosions EVER... Gasing? Yes.. Exploding? No.
Li ion? Yes...records of it taking off faces? Yes.
