Well I tried a 3 wrap and I like it more. It fits my style better. Only now my Standard is flawed. Was making my wife's mothers day dinner and she came in with her clumsy shoes on. Knocked it over on the counter and the rest is history. Cracked tank. I should have burnt the rabbit but I couldnt do that to a perfectly good meal. On the positive side it held together, and is not leaking. Its just driving me crazy knowing its flawed. I keep looking at the crack like its a dead relative.

Ok so I have been thinking of how many batteries I should buy. I will be in class from 9am to 4pm but I will be away from home from 7am to sometimes 7pm. I won't vape alot at school BUT we get breaks every hour and a one hour lunch. So I was thinking do you think 4 batteries would last 12 hours? I'm getting the AYS mini and I'm ordering batteries this Thursday. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm just now catching up on the weekend posts in here...

Stormie- just saw this & someone may have already answered this, but I have 6 batteries for my Mini and it has been enough for me. I more or less use only my Zeni most days & a similar number of hours to you.

I usually go through 3 a day, sometimes 4, and Always have 2 fresh batteries waiting for me when I get home. By the time those are used up, the ones from the day are charged up and good to go.

Not sure if it will last since the crack is on the top. Its like a U that ends on the top edge, so when I pop the cap back on it might be all over. I have a 20ML syringe if I need it. This thing is not even broke in yet and its broke. Makes me feel like kicking the dog

Ok we r like 13 hours far from the big day , and yah until now my mined can't stop thinking what to get Stan or Mini or both :S:S !! It's really hard to just choose between al that and after I saw Zen~ last pics I was like WTH they all look so pretty .
Am still thinking and just hope I will not be like that when they will come on to the site so that will just be lost and didnt get any thing lol.
If any have advice so just tell me.

And am still just on battrey war for more than week now all the site out of stock or dont ship world wide :S I think that will be my chalnge now !!

It's official! I need another standard. 4 wraps rocks at 4.2v
3 wraps rocks at 3.7v

I need one set up for each so I can use the full charge of a battery.

I think Murdock is going to use a fully charged battery with his 4 wrap standard, then when the battery gets used down to 3.7 volts, he's going to move the battery to the 3 wrap standard until it's finished.

I've heard that over depleting a battery (under 3.5 volts?) will cause it to wear out faster. Any truth to this?

Try a UK vendor. Like cloud9. They are supertmanufacturing UK reseller so I'm sure they carry aw batterys. Don't know where they ship though. If nothing works. I will buy u some and send them to u myself . Let me know in pm if you can't find anyone to help you

Draining under 3.0 is a no no. Normally you want to charge at 3.2.

I don't know when the vapor production will drop off with 3wraps. So you better believe I will be checking it with the meter before charging. I am thinking it will be right at 3.2 though.

Apparently it's ok to recharge AW IMR batteries anytime when they are between 4.15-3.2 volts without shortening service life!

From the ECF Library:

MR Li-Mn rechargeables
Manufacturers include AW and BDL. AW are reported as higher quality. These batteries are unlikely to explode in use. They are recommended in place of Li-ions and do not need protection. These batteries are of high quality and are therefore expensive - but you get what you pay for.

Notes:
- No memory effect.
Cautions:
- They have a high current discharge potential and therefore it may be wise to have a protection circuit in the main device. The discharge rating is often 8C, meaning it is likely that a lot of amps would be available if the battery were to be short-circuited (= a dead short or shorted-out).
- They will be overcharged by old-technology chargers and may burst.
- Overcharging (>4.25 volts) will shorten the service life, which is 500 charges under ideal conditions.
- Discharging below 3 volts will shorten the service life.
- If you run a Li-Mn down below the minimum discharge voltage, the cell can be damaged. As there is no 'trip out' as with a protected Li-ion, this is a concern.

You can extend the service life of these cells by not recharging above 4.15 volts or discharging below 3.2 volts.

Right but if your charging when they are half drained you will not get as much use out of them before you reach the 500 recharges.
