30,000 posts. Wow, that's just incredible. My first post was back when the thread was somewhere pre-1000 and I'd begun lurking a few hundred before that. I remember the feeling of dread I had when I realized I'd better read the whole thread - all 700-plus posts.
I shudder to think what a newbie today must think. I also shudder at the realization that I've read every single one of these posts myselfI wonder how long a book this thread would be?

I watched about 1/4 of the pages since 8:00PM or so PDT last night until 5:00PM PDT today at work on the "virus computer" (isolated DSL line); but can't log in or anything to post... and then found I had to catch up with another 3/4 pages since!
And now after catching up, I find I have almost nothing to say... except... *patience*

Damn - you've got to live there 2 years first to establish residency. Most states only require a year for residency I think.
