Bad connections are definitely, 100%, without a doubt the issue you are having. In contrast, if I hold mine straight up after the wick is good and wet and hold the button, my 3/4 wrap will glow bright within 5-6 seconds and then light the juice on fire. Everyone's APV should be performing at this level.
You would think that this would burn up,your juice and kill your batteries, but the opposite is true. If your coil gets really hot really fast, you end up having the button pressed for shorter amounts of time and in this shorter time you make larger amounts of more flavorful vapor. The juice is vaporized properly and quickly so it does not burn up and turn dark due to over-cooked residual draining back done the wick. The battery is also actually not working as hard when things work like this because it does not have to overcome all of the additional resistance built up in the various connections and so the load is only what is presented by the coil.
In my tips and tricks thread (thanks ob) the first post is the complete method to cleaning a Zenesis with my mini as the test subject. Follow that and you should have a bona-fide steam machine in about 20-30 minutes![]()
Looks like the old Mini gets a bath tomorrow!
