Ok.... so the husband is out of state, in a tiny little town in TX, where his company sent him.

First, some tool or another (he told me, but it's slipped away now) lost it's calibration and he had to send it out for repair.

Then, he's backing out to go to lunch and hits a car he didn't see with the rental car.

Finally.....after finally being done at this fertilizer plant, he's at the airport, early, so he can come home.
He uses those nicotine lozenges for times like those..... and he wants a bottle of water.
So, after paying 2.25 for a 16oz bottle of water, he heads to a garbage can.

He doesn't even look twice, just spits out the lozenge.
Later, water gone, he's gone through security, bags checked, sitting waiting for his flight.

Two cops come up, actually arrest him, cuffs and everything!
Says they have "probably cause" and film of him

wait for it....

Littering!

Apparently, the lozenge didn't make it, hit the floor, and he didn't notice it.

His choice, pay the 225.00 fine, or see the judge on Monday.

"What did you get kid? I didn't get anything, I had to pay 225.00 and pick up the garbage."

I would laugh, but we feel they just stole 225.00 cash from us.

Hey Zenfidels.

I mentioned this other places that I haunt around here, but I would like to ask for positive cosmic vibrations in whatever way you send them.

My grandfather, who lives in Florida, was diagnosed with cancer - we found out about it last Saturday.

Tuesday he was rushed to the hospital because he was in and out of coherence. (The EMT's had to threaten to call the cops because he wouldn't go)

Apparently he also headbutted a nurse. SO they sedated him.

Turns out- he has cancers of the liver, stomach, bladder, colon, prostate, and possibly kidney cancer.

My mother flew down immediately with her brother who lives near us. Her other two sisters drove down as well.
They discovered that my grandmother who we knew was a little... off... was in the full grips of dementia. Totally unable to care for herself. My grandfather apparently knew of his cancer about a month ago but signed himself out of the hospital to care for her.

No one knew how bad the situation was.

My grandfather remained sedated and was put on a respirator. He was transferred to hospice care today. He will soon return to his Father's house.

The rest of my family is only nominally religious so the rite and ceremony prep is falling on me, and because there is no bond with a local church I, myself, will give the commendation rite at grave/internment spot after the Rite of Christian burial.

J_fro that really sad news. I'm not that far away. Anything you need my friend. I mean that.

My Titanium broke down, suddenly the switch got so hot my finger almost burned and had to drop the unit. The whole body became like burning hot I took a towel, quickly unscrewed the switch and found the plastic connector in the switch melted. The battery was totally stuck in the tube and after it was cooled down, I was able to take it out. so much for enjoying my unit......

That sucks monty, but in your case, I AM that far away! I hope you get it running again soon!
