I know it's frustrating and really gets me angry to hear that some people have behaved the way Zen posted. But there are a lot of really sweet and helpful people here, too.

I disagree with the part in bold. The clamor for a zen has nothing to do with people trying to quit. People trying to quit buy an eGo or whatever that's readily available and start vaping and they are quite satisfied with it until they start enjoying it and look for more and then they come here. Then the basic human condition that afflicts all of us known as GAS(Gear acquisition syndrome) sets in as they start reading this forum and start reading about the latest and greatest.
Human beings like to collect things - most of us do - and you see this everywhere. Women collect shoes, clothes, jewellery. Guitar players collect guitars. Men collect guns, lighters and ...you get the point.
What you see here is people reading the reviews and thinking that what's being sold here is the greatest thing. Making it all the more desirable is how hard it is to get one. They don't have it and they want one. When they want one, they want it now. Once they get one, they want another as long as it's rare.
When you want one and don't have one, most people don't like other people showing off the 5 they have. It's basic human nature. This is what leads to frustration and animosity. There is nothing you can stop it. Those who have it will flaunt it and those who don't have it will bi*ch about it. Also part of it is people selling it for 3 times it is worth, because supply and demand drives the market.
What you do see here that's not happening in other threads of hard to get shiny devices is the level of desperation to get one. You all know there are plenty of other sign up lists where people wait for months to get on and then wait for more months to get one.
So what's the difference here :
Uncertainity - Here no one knows when you can get one. Simple as that. If you are 682nd on the waiting list for a device and they haven't even started making the 1st one, you still know you have a place in the line. More importantly, you know that no one is going to jump the queue. There is no such thing here. People get frustrated hanging out here for days with the knowledge that some guy who came in yesterday could buy one before you from the vendor. This doesn't sit well with most people and their frustration will come out at some point.
What can you do about it? Not a whole lot unless we mass produce the desired item or going back to the list.
What can you do to reduce some of the PMs? I suggested a few weeks back to edit the first post of this thread and remove the part where it says there is a list and to contact Zen to get on it. that's what most new people will see and they will not read the 2000000000 pages of this thread before they send a PM. Edit it to add the link to "Zen Status" thread for people to see what's going on. Other updates in this thread will get drowned out in all the chatter. Well, my suggestion probably was not seen. I still think it's a good idea to do that, but that's not up to me.
I know it's rather lengthy but just had to get this out of my system after seeing Zen's posts and the reaction to it this morning. It's also understandable for ~Zen to be frustrated and gets ticked off when he sees something he doesn't like after he has worked his ... off all day. But Y'all don't need to pile on top of that. I don't think that helps the matter. I don't know what posts ticked him off or whether mine were part of the cause.
I don't think it's negativity to have an opinion that differs from others as long as you can express it in a civil way. Anyway, if anyone have another view on the topic, please do post it and we can all discuss it in a civil manner.

Zen stopped his lists, because he could not handle them. It is his desire to get caught up, and have enough devices so that these issues are no longer a problem. I think where things got out of hand is in that he had no idea the demand was going to be this high, this fast. He said a while back, that having distributors was always in the plans, just not necessarily this soon. I think the communities desire for these just took him by surprise for the most part.
I think the key is for those who do not have them to have a little patience, let him get caught up and hopefully at that point, there will be enough inventory for everyone. Or at least a good enough flow that the wait time will be lessened.

I think I recall them using glass before.
I just double checked my bottles and the nic bottle is brown plastic and the PG bottle is white plastic. I'd say I ordered them about 2-3 months ago? "Use before" date is 4-13.
I told Mike about this and his reply "I need to know where it will be hosted and who will be the administrator."
I'm sure Mike doesn't want you to leave it was he's way of showing example of what he doesn't want to see in the thread. ((hugs))
