Any idea how fine a mesh you can get away with.. Is 200 the upper limit?

I think 200 is the limit, wicks great, but a pain to work with, it's really soft, like working with a paper towel.

sorry guys, 200 isn't fine....400 is. the number corresponds to how many strands there are per square inch

Good Evening Zen~ and fellow late night Zenfidels

Definitely was getting bad vibes from that ad.....No maximum price, highest bidder wins. Trades that aren't even available yet...

too bad it wont stay long in the classies once a mod sees it....no auctions allowed

hehehe... what amazes me is that with all the language censorship (which is of course appropriate) it's hard to believe I can actually say VAHOONIE and HOOBY in hear without fear of persecution!

my brother and I came out with some real subtle code names...used many times right next to someone and they had no idea... "eyes" and "smile" work wonders lol...

Yep, I knew that.. When I asked him, I was thinking if you double the thickness of the wick with a really fine mesh like 325 or 400, at some point do you almost close it off.. I'm still not asking it right, lol, but if you lay 400 mesh on 400 mesh it's no longer 400 mesh and if pile up enough layers tight enough I would think at some point nothing goes through it?

Actually, I am using some #200 super fine. It wicks VG great, and it is not thick or course. It is just as thin as 400, just less of a mesh count per square inch. It is still like "sheet of paper" in the thickness department. It was not a pain to work with, especially once I oxidized it... Here is a link to what I am using. I do not believe Zen carries it so I think it is OK to post a link. Thanks to Pega for sharing some with me to try :)

Vacation is over. :(

I have 1251 work emails to weed through, so before I can actually get back to work I have to see what work I missed while out.

See you peeps a bit later this evening.

I always delete them after coming back...only from a few important people I keep, if important the others will resend, good luck!

I have like 740+ emails in my inbox unread and no impetus to clear them, I may have to do a wholesale slaughter soon..........:)
