the Bike frame is circa 2000.... I have 3 ProFlex's in various stages of rebuild...well, one was finished back in '96 (frame bought brand new in '94) and I've been riding it ever since

my 854 from '94 and still riding it ;)

Smoke alarms aren't triggered by the presence of smoke, the are triggered based on air density. That's what I've been told anyway......

There are three types of alarms, apparently the FAA uses the type that goes off when the senser is visually blocked as if something crosses in front of or blocks the pick up signal. True story please be careful.

Really you all haven't perfected stealth vaping yet??? Just take a normal hit but draw a little more to clear the top cap, continue inhaling for one second afterwards and hold. Exhale and nothin!!! I can vape right under a smoke alarm no problem. I'm headed to Paris on Oct. 1st for my honeymoon and plan on vaping on the plane. Won't think twice about it.

Ah i see, find and rebuild, nice

heheh....I guess you couldn't say I like my ProFlex MTB's..... roflmao

It took me years to find one of those CF frames for sale, I missed the boat big time when they were being produced as they were only a limited run for 2 years and back then I couldnt afford em. brand new they were 2-3k depending on the components lol :( I won't tell you what I paid for the frame a few years ago...but, it was cheap...

when I bought the 854 frame, I was team MTB racer for a local bike shop in Ma., and wanted to build the lightest full suspension bike I could....a full 854 cost around $1.8k at the time and weighed 32lbs. with the cash I invested using all the parts I wanted to use, which most were better and lighter than the actual bike (LOTS of titanium parts), it topped out at $3.2K for a just under 29lb FSUS racing bike...

the 5000 frame I added/edited in the post, i bought the frame from one of my buds as he stripped it for a Merlin titanium bike build he was working on and wasnt riding it anymore. he only had it a couple of years...I just hadn't had the time to invest rebuilding it...and then i got the 4500/OZ CF, that I HAD to start building ;)
