Yea maybe a really good cleaning on the threads and switch.. should take it apart and clean it.. how many coils?

Cleaned everything...even wiped off the magnets. 4-5 wrap. Part of it might be the way I'm pressing the switch. Both my arms have been aching for 2 days from carpal tunnel, so, you know. I wish there was even 1 person who had any inkling about these who lived near me.
The friend who actually got me started vaping....finally going to make the big jump from a regular ego to a Twist! She is no help...LOL.

I can deal with the hotspots. The problem that's always plagued me on units without insulators is the hotspot between the top coil and battery post. Even on a brief pulse fire I sometimes get an instant coil pop. I know it's something simple I just can't get my head around it no matter how much research I do. Was thinking with a more pliable wick I could avoid this random pop on new coils because I'm relatively sure it's a short through the tank hole. I can take the same wick I just popped three coils on throw it in an insulator and it magically works every time.

I'm still a relative newb to genesis coils. Any advice is appreciated.

And even "doing like I do", I still get those.
Makes me crazy.

I've had two devices I could get to work without an insulator, of those that don't already come with one.
Other than that, I've had to add one.

Not sure if I'd call it classy, but I made a pretty bad mistake and I feel bad about it. Going forward I intend to fully research things and get better numbers before making offers to people.
Believe me. Phil is being straight here. He sold it to me at cost.

That's what I don't get. If you want to flip mods and make a profit OR to fund the purchase of other hiked up mods, that's okay... I mean it's not, not in my personal view, but that doesn't mean much: it's a free country, you are free to do asinine things.

What I don't understand is why do these people try so hard to both have their cake and eat it, too. I mean: you're doing the "capitalist" thing and do not accept the "nice", "communitarian" way. That's your choice. But have the freaking balls to stand by your choice. You are doing something that some people consider amoral. But you have made a choice, and you obviously do not share the same moral compass as those some people. Get over it. You can't please everyone, and sometimes your choices reflect on your character or reveal your character in ways that you won't like. Stop trying to justify your actions - it makes it worse. It says that you do get the moral reasoning behind those who shun you for profiteering. That, in turn, moves you from the amoral territory in the immoral one. When you do care about a certain type of moral judgement, and you still chose to act against it, you are by leaps and bounds worse than when your own moral judgement simply differs, or is absent, in a way that allows you to act that way.

(in fact I understand, it is a typical immature behavior whereby you are entitled at all times to both do what you want and be liked by everyone around)
Hi my name is K-man. I USED to be a classies ......

When I 1st started vaping and found ECF, I also found how easy it was to buy $80 Lines by Van and flip them for $200. And I did flip a few, as well as Orions, and Katana's that I bought hoping to use as trade bait for a Ti Mini. Then I found this thread, and between here and other threads, as well as the classies, I found myself becoming friends with people I had made a profit on. To me, that felt like the Standard up Ian's ..... Not comfortable at all. Sooner or later everyone's paths cross, and I don't ever again want to feel the guilt of having gouged someone. And that's why everything I sell now is at cost, and why I look within this thread 1st. I even buy what I don't need or want so that I can help others who do want or need. I've built a network of traders with the goal being to help everyone get what they want or need... at cost. That is my penance.
