Better capillary action. You actually get vertical wicking with a tight wick. There is also no juice drain back into the tank.

actually a thick wick prevents over and underwicking......it wicks how it is supposed to, as you need it, been doing fat wicks for months now

GREAT, Should do a how to video on youtube on your method, got 400x400 mesh on it's way now and white o-rings, also ordered up 30ml @ 10mg nic. of pchela 5 layer and a DIY flavor I call " Floating Lemons" it's 70% Root Beer Float and 30% Lemon 10mg nic.

there are litterally hundreds of videos on how to roll a wick...impossibly easy. although my take is that everyone overdoes it with quenching and such.... i just burn the wick unrolled, roll wick up tight, torch again, shove in tank. no quenching needed. from making wick to shoving in tank to wrapping a coil takes me less than 3 minutes. easy peasy
