Every song you guys post reminds me of a dozen others I love, but I'll refrain from posting too often, as I have been known to push "my" playlist at times (To be fair, it is usually combined with copious imbibing of adult beverages). Besides, you guys are doing great without me, and some find my eclectic taste in music "weird" (I am the only person I know who likes Dread Zeppelin). I was brought up listening to jazz and classical, remember when the Beatles put out new songs on the radio (on AM stations! FM was just for talk radio!), and have heartily embraced the advents of Punk, New Wave, Stadium Rock, Heavy Metal, Jam Bands, the re-births of Hilly-Billy and folk music, and I've had a continuing love affair with the Blues. Last year I saw The Hives, Phish, and the Tedeschi-Trucks Band live, and the Tedeschi-Trucks band was at the Newport Jazz Fest. Got tickets to see Muse in April (My 10 year old is psyched!). So if I post something that makes you go "Huh? What was that?", you've been warned.
What's your favorite Beatles song and why?
Because of the energy. And it's Punk Rock before there
was a Punk Rock.
