Im in Las Vegas and hate that they are raising taxes on ecigs and making laws against them. Its just another way for them to live off of tax payers money or something. Idk lol. But it sucks. Please let me and others know what we can do to help other states and find how to help our own city / state also. Thanks ECF. sorry to make a post but I couldnt reply to a post bcus it was close dis.

State and large metropolitan area Calls to Action issued through CQRC all generally limited to residents of the affected area by virtue of the program itself . . . which makes sense in that legislators are generally far more responsive to concerns of their constituents. However, in some cases we are able to post contact information on our blogged Call to Action that allows us to cast a wider net and include those who don't live in the affected area. An example of that would be New Orleans (CASAA: New Orleans, Louisiana Call to Action: Ordinance would Ban Vaping Wherever Smoking is Prohibited) and also Michigan (CASAA: Call to Action! We need Michigan vapers to immediately contact Governor Rick Snyder's office and ask him to sign Senate Bill 668.).

CASAA issues Calls to Action for federal and state matters, as well as for the largest metropolitan areas in a state. When a Call to Action is issued, information is posted in this subforum and an email is sent to our membership in the affected area. For the smaller metropolitan areas, we're working on a system to provide current information, but we still haven't worked out the logistics. When time permits, we typically send an email to the membership in that geographic region, but I'll be honest in saying that we have some pretty serious limitations we're operating under, especially right now as we enter into the 2015 legislative session. There's simply not enough time in the day to do justice to each and every local issue.

In terms of being active in your own state (particularly in your own city/county), our best suggestion is to pay attention to the news and what is going on in your area. Often, the first indication we have of local activity is from a member who reports seeing something in the newspaper.
