when ever i get a new juice, i end up loving it for around 2 days. after that, the taste gets mediocre. a week later after vaping it to the end of the world; i can barely taste it, and if i choose to continue for a month vaping it trying to get what little flavor i can get out of it, i can only taste the VG or PG around day 20 of vaping my "all day's"

is it my taste buds? or is it the juice?

i just got a 10ml bottle of ecto plasma. and this stuff is amazing! but for how long, i guess i will update in about a week.
i'm scared to order 30ml of it on a whim, much like how i ordered 30 ml of Mrs T's Vanilla custard after trying a 6ml sample i bought. a week later, i really couldn't taste teh vanilla anymore. =( i should also note; i stopped vaping for 2 weeks all together to let my taste buds re-adjust to plain old air. i did get my taste back, but the process repeated again =\

stronger juices i taste test at a local vendor taste really really really really good when i'm at my local vendor. but then when i get home, after vaping it on the drive back, i've come to find it's either not tasty anymore or i feel a big throat hit from it and ruins the taste/experience.

i'm finding that i have to switch to entirely different vendors in order to keep vaping good tasting juice.

is it me? or is it the nicotine they are using to mix it with? i know they're grades of nicotine out there... so i'm just at a ponder.

does anyone else have this problem? :(

This is a great question and sorry for your quandary. Disappointing to say the least and expensive! I've noticed this a little and I did notice it with Ms. T's Vanilla Cupcake Cake Icing which is my addiction right now...but...I did notice like first vaping it in the morning it had an awesome flavor but seemed to be the warmer it got, longer I vaped it, the taste lessened so maybe it had something to do with voltage although I'm only on an eGo T 650mah batter and vaped it in a Vision Clearomizer. Haven't tried it yet in a Ego Mega Dual Coil Cart yet but I have a feeling the taste will be different there. I'm interested to hear answers/theories on this one so will keep an eye on this thread. Thanks for sharing and asking.

Anything we eat, drink, or in this case, vape day after day can get old. I'm mostly a Camel juice vaper. It satisfies my tobacco desires, but it gets old and I switch around here and there. Variety is good.

Drinking lots of water helps to keep the taste buds alive. Vaping tends to dry out the mucous membranes. Staying hydrated is probably the best way to retain taste.

hmm. i've actually tried to do extensive research on this before. it was around the time i was forced to stop vaping all together.
i couldn't find information on it because i didn't know the exact term for it nor if it's a side effect of vaping.

the reason i was forced to stop was because all the juices i vaped at that time no matter what company, flavor, mix, or device i used; it had no taste to me what so ever.

i'm scared that will happen again and i don't want that =S

I drink plenty of water...I think someone mentioned in the forum that a carbonated drink can help to cleanse the palate. I also vape between 5-8 different flavors per day...to keep the experience interesting and alive. I have yet to vape just one flavor all day.

For me steeping vastly improves some flavors, but I haven't been vaping long enough to learn whether or not any of my juices are losing flavor over time.

For me, for now, it still beats the heck out of smoking analogs. God I love being away from all that smoke!

I think the "flavors" you may have tried are probably too flavored--your palate gets so accustom to the theatrics of it that it becomes invisible. A lot of juices are mixed to be immediately tasty and as close to what it is trying to mimic as possible. That said, what ends up happening is the juice becomes like a pop song that gets played out after a short run of acceptance. There has to be some depth and character. The juices that I have found that withstand the test of time are more deceptively good and subtly charged. The juices that have staying power, are not always the ones that will make you do flips at first taste. I like to vape juices with some vaping sustenance, as opposed to juices with fizzle and die extras.

Like circuit training when you work out, you switch up the work out alot to shock the muscles and get better results, ive noticed the same to be true with vaping, switching up flavors keeps your tongue on its toes...? buds? Anyway, I rarely vape the same juice two days in a row. Good luck in finding your sweet spot.

lolllllllll haha i suppose. i do get flavor back on a juice when i come back to it a month later. it's really noticeable for me in tobacco juices.

the water trick doesn't actually work for me. when i started vaping, i actually had to drink more water to avoid becoming dehydrated. so it wasn't an issue of trying to clean my taste buds but more of a health issue. actually due to vaping, i've been drinking more water then i ever have since my child hood. it was always soda and energy drinks for me. till this year.

but alas, that alone doesn't cure my taste issues.

new question, does higher voltage improve taste? i'm going to go get an ego-twist then instead of holding it off.

It likes when I first saw the shake weight commercials, I honestly almost wet myself laughing. Good times.

LOL

I think I have tasted an ejuice just like that! C'mon?! It can't be that easy to make a buck!? Is it? I am thinking of making an ejuice called The Pet Rock...it worked once before...But, this time it will be vapeable!

I could make millions if I put in a bottle...I am telling you, it will work!:D

Not trying to be funny, but...DUDE, it's your juice. Unfortunately, that is a solo journey. Extra heat may help (watts/volts or whatever), but, it will only really amplify the taste...not going to turn a bad juice good. What juices and vendors have you tried? What has almost worked? Let's get specific!

let's see. i've tried mrs t's vanilla custard. some vanilla extract from my local vendor. a bunch of juices from my local vendor. they get their juices from formula 51; menthol, coffee, mountain dew, menthol cinnamon, pina colata, a bunch more can't remember. the vanilla extract i get from them however is from a guy that DIY and whole sales to them i believe.

also had highbrowvapors, vanilla bourbon bean and vanilla decadence both were also really good but had to put it away after a week. also orange de surang (or however you spell it)

juicy vapor juices coming in soon. vaping ecto plasma as my all day till it "bores" me i guess. getting 30ml more as i'm going to probably vape all of this 12ml soon. also getting monster, ecto chill, and 100% pg ecto plasma.

i tend to only vape 100% vg. but now after a few months of trying stuff on a whim, i'm very confused on what gives better flavor. is it vg or pg?

i read this and that saying the opposite things on different websites. i've seen pg giving more throat hit and less flavor, vg being the other, and i see the opposite on quite a few other websites.

can someone set me straight? i don't know the difference atm, due to only vaping 100% vg for the most part. i've also had 70/30 blends and even 50/50 but i really don't like throat hit.

Honestly, I think it is you. What I mean is, I noticed you seem to be chasing a certain flavor profile. These profiles may seem appealing to your eating mind, but may not be right for your vaping palate. VG may be your problem, but I don't really believe it is. Pg will be more flavorful, but if you liked it once that doesn't account for that. I would suggest trying a new profile of flavors that you may not be accustomed to, or think you may desire. I started out somewhat similarly and now vape 95% tobacco juices. I had to do a lot of research, but the tobacco vapes in my arsenal I would be willing to bet can rival anyone else's. I simply believe you are barking up the wrong flavor(s) tree.

i tend to avoid all the "tarty" flavors. i happen to think they give too much throat hit. vg or pg based it wouldn't matter, i dislike the throat hit that barges at my chest, given i don't mind it.

ecto plasma was a gamble and it paid off. no idea if it will taste awful to me in the weeks to come however. i'll give my other juices a try when this becomes dull and see if i can taste it again.

hmm what flavors would you suggest then? i like mild and creamy, but sweet vapes.
i'm also looking for a tabacco flavor that will do the trick as well, seeing as you mentioned tabacco.

Well, I know you are saying what you like, but how has that worked for you? (I am really not trying to be sarcastic) For a recommendation, I would blindly suggest Heather's Heavenly Vapes for no reason other than I think they have a more universal appeal. Try Gandalf and Huntsman, and two others that you are interested in. They have a sampler of 4 small 3mL bottles for $8 bucks + shipping. Try and take a chance on something different from what you think you might like. They do have a flavor called Vanilla Dream, but aren't you about done trying vanilla vapes? ;)

I have recommended them a few times today and have zero qualms with it. If you were looking for straight-up tobacco vapes I would recommend one vendor, if you were really struggling with kicking cigarettes. I would recommend WTA, if you were looking for the best RY4 I would suggest asking Billherbst! ;)
