i been smoke free since oct 18 2010 and been spitting up phleym with brown specks in it since the 3rd day. i cant imagine what my lungs would look like in another 20 years if i lived that long smoking. if iam spitting all this up makes it a reality check for me! i dont know how we all started but i blame the goverment to allow this to be legal murder. when i smoked i never seen this in my phleym just had a bad cough in the morning but since i stop i see the realism of it. it scares me that this could happen to my kids and there kids and the mighty usa legalizes it for a profit!!!! were just mules to them so they can tax us for a habit they could of stop, thank god for e cigs to help stop this vicious circle of death!

I hear ya. Even though I smoke 1-2 a day at most since last thursday, after a couple days I began coughing massively, especially in the morning. I'm not seeing flecks, but it's a combination of brown and green that looks worse than anything I've ever coughed up from being sick. It's still happening, and from what I understand it can happen for a couple months while the lungs clear out and try to heal.

I haven't seen anything or had ANY coughing ...
I'm thinking I smoked SO much for SO long (32yrs), that crap is never coming out ! ???
My allergies have all but gone (?) I think.... I rarely feel the need for sinus pill now (was taking them 1-3x daily)
... pg/vg may be just keeping me dried out tho ?? I feel better in a lot of ways !!

When I started vaping full-time, I was about 2 weeks into a really bad chest cold, probably something with a bad name like bronchitis but I never went to the doctor. I was coughing so bad I thought I was going to pass out and/or get sick. After about 5-6 days with no tobacco, I stopped coughing and my cold cleared up completely. Each day without an analog, I coughed less and had fewer, shorter episodes. I am still waiting for the icky crap to come up. If nothing ever does start coming out, I hope my body is getting rid of it internally. :( I'd hate it if my lungs didn't ever come clean. I do feel 10000 times better, though, so maybe it is.
